get an 8 core cpu and only a 16gb ram stick then if you want to save money. apart from making sure your stuff fits in your pc, you should also make sure your power supply can handle all the stuff, because 3080 needs a shit ton of power / watts nowadays on its own.
I’m fine spending more to not have to worry about it as much, budget isn’t near as tight as it was a decade ago.
I think that power supply is a 750 watt. I dunno, it shows up on the pc builder web page.

you won't need more than 8 cores unless you're a professional photo or video editor, and stacking more than 16 gb isnt doing much either unless youre playing star citizen, but yeah, if it works for you, thats alright.

32GB is a good future proofing amount, and if you ever get into virtual machines you can easily build a test lab on your PC and chunk up huge portions of your RAM to VMs and still do other things. It's cheap enough now for the most part.

I have a BTC wallet on a covert flash drive made to look like a gift card. I got it as a gift YEARS ago and the very first time I plugged it into my laptop, it was the wrong way and so the little USB connector bent off. It wasn't worth that much money so I never bothered to take it to a data recovery place or anything.
WELL now it's worth a few thousand dollars, but now I'm nervous to take it to a data recovery place. They're going to know it's a BTC wallet, right? Do I tell them it's a BTC wallet? Are they going to charge more? I've never really been into crypto or anything. What do I do?

What part exactly "Bent Off" because that photo looks like the black bit is the whole wallet and the white plastic bit is just for looks.
Have you tried plugging it in, the right way?

It's the tip of the black part, not the plastic. It definitely will not plug in the right way and I don't want to try to force it for fear of damaging it worse.

Yes, take it to a data recovery place but they will need to know what it is because if it's not a normal flash drive they can't just copy the data off and give you a new stick, but from the picture it might just be a plain old USB stick presumably with your wallet file on it. They might be able to replace the connector so you can use it and move it yourself.

If you have one I'd recommend a local shop, not a Best Buy or a mall kiosk but a store that looks like they're from the 1990s and can actually repair stuff on-site.

My PC has been having issues starting up. It works perfectly normal, but when I turn it on it has something like a 75% of staying frozen on the motherboard logo after it flashes the "press X for setup" logo. No idea what is causing it. Might be a hard drive issue? Is there a test I can run to tell what is going on?

Laptop or desktop? Depending on the make it might have built in hardware diagnostics, most of the business brands like Dell and HP have them. When it is frozen, does the Caps Lock light on your keyboard turn on when you press it?

If you can get into the BIOS/UEFI there might be settings for quick boot and quiet boot, so it skips startup tasks and doesn't display the POST info. You might try turning those off to see if it's stuck on a particular device initializing.

Another thing to ask - when you are done with using your computer, do you shut down? Windows sometimes enables a fast boot option as well where it tries to snapshot and load the Windows OS processes. You can usually tell because after shutdown/startup it will still show a high uptime in task manager. If it's having issues loading the Windows snapshot properly it might just hang. Selecting Restart instead of Shut Down doesn't attempt this faggotry, it actually takes your PC down fully.

It's a desktop but it's a custom build. A MSI 970x motherboard or something I will check once I am home. Also gonna do the Caps Lock test. Not sure if there is some sort of fast boot option will also check.

I am using Linux so no worries about any Windows fuckery.

I have had issues with a bad hard drive essentially "refusing" to let the computer boot, so if none of the other suggestions turn anything up that would be a good thing to check next (which you originally said :) )

Check your USB devices or any other peripherial. I have a chinesium USB lamp that prevents booting.

Sounds like a grounding issue. Search Ali Express for "Ground loop isolator". They're like $1 on there.

Necroing this post.

I bought a usb dac+amp recently, especially because it advertised as having some voodoo magic connection that eliminated all the noise from the PC. And the device works like advertised, but only when it's playing something (even if it's just silence), The moment the PC stops sending audio data I believe the amp goes to standby mode, and all the noise filtering halts, and the buzzing comes back.

Remember that this noise is not frequent, it's just once in a while, it stays for some minutes and then goes away.

Is there a way to block this interference from coming from the usb cable?

I've had some experiences with USB causing interference. I have an Arturia Beatstep Pro which takes power over USB Micro. I can plug this directly into my computer and use it as a controller, no problems. It can send CV to my Arturia Microbrute over 3.5mm cables, which I terminate into a USB audio interface (Behringer UM2 powered by USB, which itself is noisy, but that's another story). If I plug the BSP and the UM2 into the same computer, it seems like it causes a ground loop of sorts and puts noise on everything.

The BSP came with an adapter though, which splits the USB Micro into two sides - one to connect to computer USB, one to connect to a USB wall charger for power. This breaks the noisy USB loop. Depending on how your DAC+Amp is powered, this might be worth looking into as you might be able to find a similar cable that splits power and data and see if that helps.

i'd like to make a botnetwork without paying pajeets to follow/subscribe me or comment/chat in my videos/streams, is anyone experienced in this?

What's the goal? Getting increased follower count/stream population/meeting chat requirements? Or just fun, like dropping a botnet into a stream where every account spams something other people should know?

Needing legitimate accounts is probably the hardest part, and getting around the bot killing logic places have - like if Twitch sees 50 different accounts connecting from the same IP it might raise flags. Otherwise there are tools I've seen people use to multibox MMOs and I bet that could be used somehow to at least get bots connected to a stream.

Otherwise though it is pretty tough to do it stealth enough that your accounts don't get instabanned.
