Anyone know the best editing software to trim and clip videoclips over 24 hours long? I'm currently curating a retard whose trademark is 24+ hour long livestreams where he spergs out in between hours of inactivity, so the gold needs to be surgically removed from hours of nothing. Lately, he's gotten into the habit of 24-48+ hour long, single broadcasts. This is proving difficult to try and figure out how to most efficiently make workable, and would greatly appreciate any advice.
AviDemux. Free and fast. Put audio and video output to "copy" then mark in and out the segment you want to save, ctrl+s so save that segment, rinse and repeat.
It's not an editor but as a clipper it is a stellar program.

Anyone have a suggestion for a calendar program that's offline? I don't want phone sync or cloud or a private WebDAV server running in the background or any of that, just a monthly calendar page I could put scheduled events on.

I found this which is kind of interesting: https://calcurse.org
But the limitations of TUI applications mean it just can't display more than a week at a time.

I mean, there can't really be nothing better than using MS Outlook purely as a calendar, right?

KDE's Korganizer is a tried and true calendar client. Merkuro is their modern client and they share some files so you can easily try both and they reference the same calendars. Not sure if there is Windows support or not.

Merkuro has unstable builds, apparently. https://cdn.kde.org/ci-builds/pim/merkuro/master/windows/

I found a hardware wallet, and it had the seed phrase in the box. how do I check to see if there is any money on it?
If it's an actual seed phrase then you should be able to just setup a new software wallet with the phrase without touching the hardware wallet. If it's the passphrase to unlock the hardware wallet then that's different and I have no speculation.

Is the Mullvad Browser weirdly slow for anyone else? Some of the symptoms I see is when opening a new tab to a blank page, the letterboxd border stays on screen for like a second before disappearing. Clicking on the search bar, clicking off of it, and then clicking it again, it takes a second to load/register. Basically, the slowness is every little action taking a second to load. I tried turning off the hardware acceleration option in settings but it didn't seem to make a difference.

It also seems to just happen at random. When I was experiencing the issue at first, I closed out of the browser once and it just stopped being slow. Its come back now. The slowness was also so bad that when trying to download a file that was a couple megabytes in the double digits, at least, it crashed the browser when I tried to save it.

So I had a whoopsie doodle, a fucky wucky with my VPN not shutting down a connection properly and I had to troubleshoot my internet connection for about 2 hours. It got so bad that at first I wouldn't connect to the internet at all, then I found out I could only connect with my VPN and then it wouldn't hide my IP info, in other words I needed my VPN just to access the internet.

Long story short, I resolved that issue, but in the process I tried the ol' 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for my DNS, which got my internet working without a VPN in the first place. My question is, are there any long term consequences for leaving my settings like this? I want to weight my options, before my dumbass forgets I set them up like this and have to spend 2 more hours in the future troubleshooting why my internet isn't working again.

It was the second, I got it from a pawnshop, so I was really surprised to see somebody was stupid enough to let that be written down.

Did a little bit more prodding, I still can't connect online without some manually set DNS. I haven't touched the settings on my router for over 10 years, since I got it, and I did just fine with automatic DHCP settings. This doesn't work now, all it gives me is a "dns probe failed bad config" error on Chrome and no unique error on Firefox/Librewolf, just a generic "can't connect" message.
I will be honest, I have no fucking clue what I am looking at. Everything works fine for now, so I won't touch anything. I just hope this doesn't impact my browsing speed or anything like that. Is there any chance this could be a fuckup with my ISP or is this all on my end? Wi-fi still works fine so it has to be just me.

Seeing what my options are. I come back from dinner and my computer is off and will not turn on. I had nothing going on when I left it but had chrome open and I believe chrome is relatively memory intensive, but it appears like power does not run through the device.

Some things I tried or observed:
Swapping cords, outlets did nothing
My headphones usually glow if plugged in, even if the computer is off, now they do nothing.

Anyone have an insight before I start spending money on stuff?

Might be PSU failure. If you have another lying around and could get your mobo to POST try that, leave unnecessary hardware unplugged if it's lower wattage.

DHCP should be irrelevant here. Is it possible your VPN overwrote your system DNS settings and they got left on but perhaps only work when traffic comes from a VPN tunnel but then you've manually changed it on your computer but not on the router?

Check local DNS settings on your computer and set it to your router to see if that works, as that should be the default. However, if you don't mind having it set manually to something, find a DNS provider you're ok with and leave it at that. There's no downside really.

You could try unplugging the power supply from all your components then attempt to self power it by connecting PS_ON to ground using a paper clip in the ATX 24 pin connector.

I suggest you unplug the power supply from AC power while inserting the paper clip to minimize the likelihood of messing something up. Once it's inserted, the PSU will power itself on when given AC power.

It doesn't mean that your PSU is 100% working right if the fans spin, but if doing this yields absolutely no life from the PSU then it lends credence to the idea the PSU has completely died. Check if the PSU has a passive fan mode before declaring it totally dead though.

It is 100% my VPN overwriting my DNS settings. I could only connect to the internet via my VPN after the incident and it would not mask my connection. I fixed that by disabling my client adapter and installed a new one. Everything works well now, aside from the issue where I have to use a custom/public DNS in order to connect to the internet. I checked my router settings and I have it's IPv6 DNS settings(I am currently using only IPv4), I haven't entered them yet just in case it fucks something else up, but I can do that anytime I want to. I haven't noticed any differences while browsing, aside from maybe slower connection but that could easily be anecdotal evidence on my part due to bad luck. I'm more curious than anything how the fuck something like this happened and how can I fix it, so that I don't limp by with a band-aid solution that works until it doesn't.

Are Chromebooks any good?
I've got a new job which means I'll need a laptop a couple of days a week as I'll be working away from home.

My desktop PC is fine for what I need at home and I've used a galaxy tablet when out and about but I want something cheap and cheerful for spreadsheets and simple docs and email stuff.
Chromebooks are extremely shitty. It's basically an equivalent of a walmart skateboard - designed solely to deceive clueless parents by having visual similarities with a real thing. It can't really do anything except opening google chrome. Very slowly.
You will be better off with any other cheap normal laptop.

The proper solution is to set your DNS back to what you want it and if your VPN keeps screwing things up then consider switching to another VPN, though I hope it has settings to use custom DNS.

That's what I'm thinking, but I never did set up the DNS. It was always on the automatic settings, whatever it was on the day I plugged the modem in. How would I go about directly resetting those settings?

I haven't used Windows for years outside of work so can't say but I'm sure there's an answer out there.
