Nothing I've seen or experienced has ever given me reason to believe in some supreme being, but I don't discount the possibility, because I'm not smart enough or I guess arrogant enough to say I know there isn't one.
Also I want to believe such a being might exist, because if it did it would change my understanding of reality and the universe on such a profound level it would be utterly beautiful to me in a way I'm not articulate enough to express with words.
In the same way I choose to believe that creatures like bigfoot and nessie and the snallygaster and extraterrestrials might possibly exist, although I don't have much confidence they do.
It just adds a bit more wonder and enjoyment to my world if I consider they might. Thinking you have all the answers to everything and there is nothing that exists in imagination that might also exist in reality is just depressing and soulless.
In summary, I fucking hate reddit atheists.
