EU Nord Stream operator says three offshore gas pipelines damaged in one day - What a coincidence

Three offshore lines of the Nord Stream gas pipeline system on the bed of the Baltic Sea sustained "unprecedented" damage in one day, Nord Stream AG, the operator of the network, said on Tuesday.

The bulletin was published after Sweden's Maritime Authority issued a warning about two leaks in the Nord Stream 1 pipeline, shortly after a leak on the nearby Nord Stream 2 pipeline was discovered that prompted Denmark to restrict shipping in a five nautical mile radius.

Nord Stream AG said it was impossible to estimate when the gas network system's working capability would be restored.

"The destruction that occurred on the same day simultaneously on three strings of the offshore gas pipelines of the Nord Stream system is unprecedented. It is not yet possible to estimate the timing of the restoration of the gas transport infrastructure," it said in comments to reporters.

Nord Stream 1, which consists of two parallel lines with nameplate capacity of 27.5 billion cubic metres per year each, started supplying gas directly from Russia to Germany in 2011.

Flows via the pipeline, which had been working at only 20% of its capacity since July, were halted at the end of August and were not relaunched following maintenance.

Russia blames faulty equipment at a key compressor station and Western sanctions over Ukraine for its idling.

Nord Stream 2, which runs almost in parallel to Nord Stream 1, was built in September 2021 but was never launched as Germany refused to certify it. The project was halted altogether just days before Moscow sent its troops into Ukraine on Feb. 24.

Price caps and price control ALWAYS result in stortages. Every time when they are in response to shortages they make them worse.
When you try to use microeconomy when you are talking about minning industry.

No, it is impossible to just take a break in gas mining. Gasfield will produce equal amount of gas and will not give a fuck about it price nor storage posibilities.

In case of:

1/ selling gas by market price
2/ selling gas by half of production costs
3/ not selling at all

gas field will produce equal amount of gas lowering the total amount of gas in gas field. Between that options the sole difference is how many cash owner of field will earn (or lose) in period.

If no one wish to buy gas or lack of transportation/storage options the only short-term option is burning the gas right after mining. Russia is doing that due to many factors related to war with NATO.

And yes, they can shut down production - but that will be equal to end exploatation of such field for probably many years.

One could make a theory that this was done to prevent a palace coup.

xD

Russia still can send gas via pipelines in Poland, Belarus and Ukraine. NS 1 and NS 2 was just one of routes and way to make it cheaper. Not more than that.

Maine pipelines in Europe are all interconnected.

One of the primary reasons NS1 and 2 were built was because many of the other pipelines from russia to europe went via Ukraine.
The main feature of NS1 and 2 is that they do not cross Uke-faggot territory. That is a really important feature that both russia and germany thought was so great that they decided to invest billions and billions to build. Because germany remembers what happens when your energy supply depends on your gas transiting uke-faggot territory.

Over the last 20 plus years, Ukraine has had a habit of 1, siphoning off gas from these pipelines to cause shortages on the european receiving side,
2, create artificial "issues", primarily during winter, to cause issues to force europe to take action against russia.

The uke-faggots are not exactly reliable or trustworthy business partners, which is probably why Biden likes to do business with them.

>Biden has said in the past he will destroy the pipelines
>American jets tracked on radar circling around the explosion point 25 minutes before event
>Pipelines destroyed, this only benefits American
>'Lol wasn't us guys.' says American government.
>"Hmm, who could have done it?" Asks the media, putting their hands up and looking around in mockery

They aren't even trying to hide it lol. Kind funny really.

Nope, former primary pipeline (Yamal-Europe) to support Germany is crossing Belarus and Poland. Both countries unreliable (Belarus was just stealing gas from it and, well... I think the BLOOD FOR BLOOD GOD meme with polish badge isn't just a random meme).

Look at map with only pipelines from Russia to Europe. Both NS was just a alternate to Belarus-Polish route with main reason to 1/ avoid Belarus punk state and 2/ to not pay a dime in Poland (transport fees). It is also possible to transport gas by country-scale systems.

Anybody that has been paying attention and isn't a NPC knows the Russians didn't do this.

If the dirty hands of the CIA et al or one of our allies weren't directly involved with our help, color me shocked.

I have no idea who or what was responsible, but I'm going to out on a limb with the meme option and say the French DGSE was at fault because less gas for Germany is more power Germany needs to buy from French nuclear plants.

I desperately hope multiple and possibly conflicting parties were involved. Least make it interesting.
At this point its like Jeffrey Epstein's non-suicide: the list of parties who'd want Nordstream blown up is a hell of a lot longer than the parties that want it intact.

Funnily enough there was a Hollywood movie with a plot not dissimilar from this: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0475394/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
TL;DR: Word gets out there's a bounty on a snitch's head, half the gunmen in Nevada start shooting at each other to try and claim it. There's actually a neat little twist at the end but I won't spoil it.

the only issue with that plan is that the french grid is apparently in such a sorry state they've been importing electricity from germany of all places. it's also been claimed that the current price explosion is in a large part due to france, not germany, and there's talk about blackouts this winter (which is where things will get real spicy).

the last thing the baguettes want is fuck with germany's gas supply, unless they're afraid germany ups the prices for their gas-for-power deal (since france needs it more than germany in that situation), but even then more gas for germany would also mean more power to france in the end.

sadly there's no public clip of the angie tribeca episode where geils goes undercover and everyone is a cop.

A pack of sea faring gypsies blew it open to steal the gas and get revenge on Germany for the Holocaust.

With most other presidents, you might have a point. With Joe's habit of blurting out shit best kept inside the administration, probably not.
Yeah but it requires the Biden Admin to do something they want to do correctly and not absolutely fuck it up.

That just means that the documents proving US involvement haven't leaked or accidentally been left somewhere yet. Using the US Navy to fuck up a stationary target like a gas pipeline is something that they absolutely have the capability for. Keeping it secret long-term? That's the part they'll fuck up on.
