Not-E3 2020 Thread

Console looks futuristic, but games don't look all that interesting to buy a PS5.

Digital Version? More like No Games Version haha goteem

Seriously there is no way I'm buying a PS5. It's at least 500 bucks and they can't bear to tell us. Every game showcased should be out by Christmas 2021 but you just know half of them will take longer. Pretty pathetic, genuinely. That Squeenix Project Alith(?) is blatantly FF16, and we all know that shit would be on Android if they could get away with it

can anyone answer this question for me, when sony or xbox are coming out with a new console, how long do the companies know before the public? like would any of the games coming out for the ps5/xbox4 actually take advantage of the increase in power?

even the multiplatform ones? would they be able to optimize for the new consoles well?

I'm happy i decided to go PC instead of console for the 8th gen, and now it seems like i'll be doing it for the 9th as well, which is fucking crazy because my gpu is 4+ years old, it should be outdated as shit, the same way 90s processors were outdated almost as soon as you took them home
They usually know in advance what the system is. It does take a year or so for Devs to get their heads around the platform to make games that really take advantage of the system. IIRC, ps5 dev kits were in developers hands since last fall.

As for your gpu, tech has slowed down since the 90s. The only reason you might need to upgrade your gpu is if you want ray-tracing.

The white part is apparently removeable, I guess they're going to sell different cover plates for it so you can change your system's look easily like the xbox 360.
