Culture Not ONE Incoming 8th Grader at LeBron James' 'I Promise' School in Akron Has Passed State's Basic Math Test in Over THREE YEARS - I Promise to make these kids as smart as me. -- LeBron James, probably

LeBron James' I Promise School, located in Akron, Ohio, is currently facing severe criticism from members of the Akron Public School Board due to a troubling revelation. Recent reports have disclosed that this year's incoming 8th-grade class has not produced a single student who passed the state math test in over three years.

The shocking news left board member Valerie McKitrick astonished as she expressed her disbelief, saying, "Not one? In three years?" The data presented to her revealed that not a single student from the fall 8th-grade class at the I Promise School could achieve proficiency in the Ohio state math test, per the Akron Beacon Journal.

Keith Liechty-Clifford, the district director of school improvement in Akron, expressed his discouragement with the newly discovered information.

Despite substantial financial support from the James Foundation, as well as local, state, and federal funding, the I Promise School's performance among students has been deeply concerning. These students now find themselves testing in the bottom 5% in the entire state.

As a result of these distressing test scores, the Ohio Department of Education will be stepping in to intervene at the I Promise School. This intervention is a last-ditch effort to reverse the declining trend in test performance and address the challenges the school is facing.

Liechty-Clifford responded, "It is discouraging."

The Ohio Department of Education also issued a concern about the school because black students and those with disabilities are testing in the bottom 5% of students in the state.

School Board President Derrick Hall said Monday was the first time he had seen such an overview of the school in his almost four years on the board. He said, "For me as a board member, I just think about all the resources that we're providing." Hall added, "And I just, I'm just disappointed that I don't think, it doesn't appear like we're seeing the kind of change that we would expect to see."

According to its website, the I Promise School, which operates as a public school in conjunction with the LeBron James Family Foundation was founded in July 2018 "with a mission to wrap around the most at-risk students and families in Akron." It offers students "free tuition, free uniforms, free bicycle & helmet, free transportation within two miles, free breakfast lunch and snacks, and a food pantry for families."

Students in the district who are in the bottom 25% of reading scores get entered into a lottery. Parents can choose to send their children to the I Promise School or keep them enrolled in their current school if picked.

On top of the standard state funding for the school, the LeBron James Family Foundation donates $1.4 million each year to pay for more tutors and teachers to lower class sizes.

The foundation said in a statement after Monday's meeting: "When we started this work to wraparound students through education, we entered this partnership with Akron Public School for the long haul."

It continued, "Because this work requires a long-term commitment, hard work, and a lot of love and care. And that's what we bring each and every day because the I Promise School is more than a school. We're here for the ups and downs, and will continue to wraparound our students and their entire families so they can be successful in school and in life, no matter the challenges and obstacles that come their way."

The report notes that kids at the school are typically two years behind their peers. Reacting to the findings Leichty-Clifford said, "If I could take kids who are two and three years behind, and get them on the level in one year, I'd probably resign and take my show on the road."

Stephanie Davis was appointed as the new principal of the school this year. The district said in a statement she "is the perfect person to lead the I Promise School and all of our families to the success we know they will achieve. Because we will do it together, as a family."

Because you can sink infinite fucking money into a school and it won't change the outcome if the students don't give a shit and their parents don't either. Especially if they don't give a shit and are retarded.

I wish I had saved a pic of the story I read ages ago on here about that group of inner-city black kids that the Dept of Education gave a retarded amount of funding for only to find that they did no better in a school purpose-built and purposely-staffed for the specific role of improving their scores.

It's not the school, it's not the teachers, it's the kids and their parents.

How am I supposed to not be racist when they do shit like this? I'm sure if you made a school and selected bottom 25% retards in a 99% white area you'd have some problems too, but nobody does that or writes articles about it. I'm forced to be racist because the powers that be are racist against me.

The average nigger at age 5 can't pass the mirror test.
Effectively correct, but not as indicative of low intelligence as you might think.

The study looked at Black American and urban Kenyans and both groups only reliably passed the mirror test at 24 months or even longer. Interestingly, they didn't notice a big difference based on parental intelligence, and even retarded Europeans/Asians pass it earlier, so I doubt it is linked to intelligence in general. Black babies on average learn to walk earlier, but no one calls still crawling YT babies stupid.

They failed it in an unexpected way, whilst they don't act on the information in the mirror (IIRC, touching a non-irritating mark), they don't react to it like it was another baby, they just lock and don't react. Evolution couldn't explain it, most Wypipyo only had mirrors a few centuries before Africans, and adult Black people could still see their reflection in streams/ponds.

It's all very weird, some racial/tribal/ethnic differences probably do exist on average, but such research is (rightfully?) taboo.

Look up "The Kansas City Experiment".
The short version is a bunch of do gooders filed a lawsuit claiming that KC, Mo's public schools were unconstitutional because they were "segregated".

Keep in mind KC is where the whole school desegregation thing started.
Fast forward 20 years after the Supreme Court ordered schools integrated all the whites had moved away or put their kids in public schools.*

They found an activist judge who agreed with them and ordered the state to spend "Whatever it takes" to get white kids to attend KC public schools.

An interesting thing that came out in the case is the Supreme Court apparently says you have the right to an integrated education, not a good one. You can't sue because your school is substandard but you can sue if it isn't integrated.

New buildings were built.
Schools now had computer labs, swimming pools and zoos.
Kids were given all expense paid field trips to Africa.
Teachers all got pay raises.

You already know what happened next.
Test scores never improved and a few white families enrolled their kids for a while but pulled their kids after they were harassed by the students and teachers.

*Funny how many famous court cases have unintended consequences that no one talks about.
Shelly v. Kraemer ruled that covenants that restricted property by race were unconstitutional.
There is no historic marker in front of the house from that case.
Why?
There is no house.
The entire neighborhood is a bombed out Hell scape.
If you didn't know better you would think those "evil" racists who said the neighborhood would fall apart if blacks were allowed to move in were right.

These kids are not going to be academic successes. It's probably better to just teach them how to use tools. People need to realise that their kid just isn't cut out for academics. But these kids can still learn. They just aren't going to earn PhD's.
Eliminating 'tracking' from schools was the meanest thing you could do to a junior nigger besides pee in his purple drank.

In the vast majority of cases it meant that instead of a higher chance of doing a career that required lower IQ, you put the kid in a path toward a career that would pay better if he had the raw intelligence or home life to get to that level. End result is lil' Tyrone ends up dropping out of college or getting kicked out at a school that CAN fail his ass for F's every quarter and gets nothing.

I think this is ultimate demonstration we need to stop dumping billions into social programs for niggers, we keep giving them so much and expect them to use these resources to elevate themselves to the level of whites or asians and it's just never going to fucking happen. Every year more money, more social programs, more "gibs" and they still are a half a step away from apes, I mean for christ sake even apes adequately care for their offspring. The average female nigger has 5 kids all with different fathers and can't reliably identify the father half the time, they do this purely for welfare, the average male nigger has 5 kids and doesn't contribute anything to raising them.

It's time to stop throwing government money at a problem we are never going to fix.

Unpopular opinion (by normie standards); but some people just can't be educated, and this isn't a "they're too stupid," it's that their life isn't structured enough to be suitable for kids to be good learners.
I think the problem here is that it is both.
The risk regarding the being "stupid" is also that it is less likely for these kids to be diagnosed with whatever learning disability/impairment than for their counterparts with normal home life. So while the latter will go to "special education", the other kids will just be called "retarded" by their family and peers.

I agree with your idea of a boarding school, and I would add to also make it far from their home - as in move to another state, to a rural area.

Then, there are two choices, both (pardon the newspeak) valid: 1) pick the best scoring students and make it an elite program and focus on STEM*, or 2) continue to pick the dumb kids and aim for somewhat specialised, but manual labor (although I think they would need to remove the truly <70 IQ ones, ie the medically retarded)

*Culturally - African Americans are more likely to go into the humanities, because being a philosopher and "thinker" is what is associated with intellectualism. Contrast this with the "med school" meme of Indian immigrants' kids

Reacting to the findings Leichty-Clifford said, "If I could take kids who are two and three years behind, and get them on the level in one year, I'd probably resign and take my show on the road."
I am sure they could do it if they picked kids with potential, which means screening in a more involved and objective way. At that age, doing 2 years in 1 should not be that difficult for someone smart!
Give them an IQ test and pick the top scoring ones - easily done. Do interviews with their families and then select based on motivation.

If I wanted to have an education based charity to write off; I'd start a scholarship program, but actually have some real requirements (like going into a STEM field). That way, I hopefully help someone achieve their education goals, I can be seen as a good person, and most importantly... I pay less taxes, fuck yeah!
If you did that you would be flushing money down the toilet. The amount of niggers who graduate with STEM degrees is probably in the single-digit percentile.

But can they add 🏀 and 🗑️?

It would be worth it if it created another Thomas Sowell. *sigh*
