"Not to be A-loggy here but..."

Can we please stop this shit?

There are several posts here that acknowledge that they might be a-logging when in several cases they aren't. Simply criticizing Chris is not a-loggy.

And even if they are so called "a-loggy" the majority of them aren't that bad. Hoping that some jail time might do Chris some better I do not consider a-logging but some might. Wishing that Chris would die or comparing him to Hitler is obviously "a-logging". There's really no set middle line.

If you want to say something negative about Chris, just say it. You shouldn't assume people are going to give you shit because it might be a-logging, and if it is, acknowledging that it's a-logging is not going to protect you from criticism.

I really didn't want to make this thread, but reading new posts and seeing this "I might be a-logging but I'm going to post something that I consider a-logging anyway" crap coming up every single day is getting a bit annoying.

Not to a-log, but Chris is probably the current dumbest living human.

Chris is definitely worse than Hitler, amirite?

Moved this topic into the metaforum. Anyway, I take the Potter Stewart approach to A-Logging: "I know it when I see it." If you're outright insulting Chris, that's A-Logging. Levying valid criticism against Chris isn't A-Logging.

Not to a-log, brothers, but Chris certainly is not a Hulkamaniac

You've got that right, brother. If Chris started saying his prayers (for forgiveness) eating his vitamins (instead of McD's) and training (for a job) he'd be on the right track.

This thread sits dangerously upon the line of being valid complaint and nitpicking new trends in posting. It's something that happens in all boards after they age: in-jokes become mishandled and inappropriately applied.

A-log once said that Saddam's genocide, torture, and oppression of an entire nation was "potatoes" to Chris' behavior. This is a-logging.
Hulk Hogan has said that Chris is not a Hulkamaniac and should consider diet, exercise and prayer. This is not a-logging.

What if I said Chris is the most awful being to ever roam Earth. But becoming a Hulkamaniac would help. Where does that sit?

I think that falls under the category of "hyperbole that people might take too seriously." The key thing about a-logging is that it has very negative desires on behalf of the poster. A-log pretty much wished for Chris to die.

Also if you talk about how you are autistic, and Chris gives autistics a bad name, and how much better you are than Chris, this is the second, more overlooked definition of A-Logging.

I wonder why some autistics prefer to post something like this (Chris gives autistics a bad name, I'm autistic but I'm better than Chris etc.) before they post about Chris.

Usually that's the first opinion many of them have of him. They have enough to deal with in terms of how people view them due to their social handicaps and the last thing they need is for Christian Weston Chandler to become a poster child for autistics.

If you go on PVCC or /cow/, pretty much saying anything negative about Chris will get you called an A-Log. Like if you say something like "Chris is fat" a dozen people will say "HI A-LOG!" But I think it's too narrow to say that strictly wishing for Chris's death and comparing him to other autistics is A-Logging.

Like Null said, it's mostly hyperbole, like being a bit over the top with Chris criticism. Pretty much taking Chris and the stupid shit he does too seriously. There's usually an element of troll shielding, as the people who want to see harm fall on Chris are usually people who are as fucked up or even more fucked up than Chris is, trust me, I've seen it.
