I think that what might save us is how incompetent and evil the powers that be are. They would quickly turn themselves into pretzels to not trip on ANY possible wrongthink and end up all sounding so alike you would be able to tell from how supernaturally normie they are.

It reminds me of stuff I read about suppression and speech control in the USSR and Mao China, how the "popular" and "regime approved" personalities and celebrities were all virtual nobodies who came out of nowhere and quickly faded away because only by creating these people from thin air were the powers that be able to ensure that they had all the correct opinions and positions, whils the controversial and dangerous ones who were frowned upon all had actual differences and unique aspects to them.

Basically for this sort of propaganda to work they would need to also control the ENTIRE internet, fake the ENTIRE fanbase, and then keep ot up for years to buils up a catalogue of back episodes to justify it all. It's doable, but it isn't worth the effort because the retards who would fall for it at all won't bother so they would be going through all this trouble for a small chance of fooling internet autists like you and me and even then it might not work at all and backfire.

If their victory was pre-ordained their propaganda wouldn't be necessary. Stay strong brother the Antichrist will not be allowed to win.

I've listened to quite a few of these and even made a few. While it does sound really realistic, after a while I started to notice a few things that will tip you off that it's ai:

1. They never interrupt each other like real podcasters do. Even if one of them "jumps" in to talk, the other one will simply stop talking right before so you can hear what the other person is saying. In real life, if you jump in like that, the person originally talking will still talk or trail off before shutting up completely. Not here though, you'll notice there is never any overlapping speak.

2. The tone and cadence of their voice never sounds right. In real life, people's voices change all the time depending on what they're talking about. Sometimes the hosts do try to mimic this but it still never quite captures the way actual humans vary their tone, and cadence.

3. They only give summaries about whatever you feed it, they never go into detail about anything. I tried several times to get them to talk more in depth about whatever I was feeding it, and they never do. This might be good if you just want something really dense summed up, but if you want to actually learn something and get more detail like real podcasts, you're out of luck.

4. They still abide by the stupid SJW rules like ChatGPT. They would not misgender the troon lolcows I fed it. And whenever they do bring up a controversial subject, they trip over themself to say that they don't believe it and that this is just someone's belief, it's not true. I swear on one podcast I made, they spent 5 minutes explaining why the belief was wrong, "But this is what the person believes, and we're talking about what they believe, we're not saying we agree with them."

Interesting, when I fed it Null's article about online censorship here, it misgenders Liz Fong-Jones every time, presumably because Null did it in the article.

You're right that the voices don't change enough, but it has its moments of charm, I like in the OP post when the lady goes "sneeeeeeed..."

Yeah, I'm sure within a year or two max all the kinks will be worked out. Hell, I remember when audio ai sounded bad 8 months ago, and now it's improved so much you sometimes can't tell.

You joke but as it stands now that's true, good luck getting any current day ai to say racial slurs, they either refuse out right or they write a bunch of paragraphs to justify why they're saying it.
 
From what I have seen LLM style AI is never gonna be AGI like morons insist. It is gonna end up like the self driving car meme: good enough for 90% of the time but those last 10% forver elude the devs and fuck it up.

Maybe I'm reading into it too much, but it almost feels like the AI are being passive aggressive and are saying "Look, we have to do a deep dive into a topic. You came to the deep dive podcast and told us to not do a deep dive. We are going to do a deep dive on not doing a deep dive"

Almost like you donated $5 buck to Null and said "Fuck you, stop reading this message" and he was like "You know what. No. I'm going to read this message 10 times so you can go fuck yourself"

So what was the prompt? This might actually be an AI-catcher, because the AI is commenting seemingly intelligently on the post, but it doesn't get that the post is a troll. Was there an anti-troll instruction in the prompt?
