I think it's, ironically enough, the people who go on Reddit screaming about corporations and how they're inherently bad, who have the most brand loyalty, to such an extent that they treat their favored companies as if they're people.

You can definitely see it prominently on Reddit, specifically, Nintendo-related subs. Watch them anthropomorphise Nintendo. Watch them attribute feeling and thought to a corporation. It's sickening.

It's incredible watching these special little boys go into damage control for their corporate masters. They'll literally defend anything.

I saw an Apple fanboy article defending the newer models bricking themselves if they're repaired outside of Apple itself, because if your phone didn't brick itself when repaired by a third party, you might wind up with a shoddy cheap part from China, which is clearly much worse than your phone turning itself into a not very effective paperweight.

The amount of corporate worship going on is rather disturbing. There are people who talk as if these companies are like parents or big brothers to them and defend them without mercy regardless of the scummy shit they do. Apple, EA, Bethesda, Disney, Youtube, Google, etc fans along with Console War fags are obsessive and are just as NPC-like (if not more so) than political types. Their favorite hallowed companies could sell them literal turds and even endorse kicking puppies yet their leagues of fanatics would still find ways to defend them. It reminds me of Brave New World.

This comic is a very poor representation of Orwell's point in 1984. It certainly wasn't "Ban guns and grenades". It was "Controlling language is a means of controlling thought".

There's an obvious reason why current SJWs rather aggressively miss the point of 1984, as it basically predicted them.

Bill Mahr is the king of many a middle-aged blue-blood democrat. He's sometimes a contrarian and an absolute fucking idiot often, and he will also gargle the balls of basically any D-name person because his audience only likes to hear "them damn republicans is dumn!!" His show is basically all the cool 45+ democrat memes made into jokes that they can digest.

It is rather hypocritical that this kind of company worship comes from people who think themselves as revolutionaries against the rich, yet they themselves have a stronger obsessive fixation on the companies that "created their childhoods" more than anyone else. And whatever is currently going on with the Nintendo fanbase seems to be getting borderline cultish. I mean yeah, I can like some of their games too but their attitude towards them seems to be going into the territory of idol worship. And then there's those who screech about corruption or censorship in gaming but when Nintendo does it, its all peachy keen to them.

This was a more reasonable stance he had of basically 'Comics are just comics, I don't care.' And hey, he can be a contrarian. Considering that superhero movies are so omnipresent that even his fanbase are getting into it it shoots him onto a newsworthy state if he goes against the grain. He's not a a total NPC in that way, but he does lead many of the middle-aged ones.

It's one thing to be moderately fond of a company; after all, Nintendo was one of the major pioneers in video gaming. However, having your life revolve around it is creepy on a whole new level.

My favorite ones are Nintendo YouTubers who suck the Big N's cock WAY too hard when it comes to defending how (poorly) they've been handling the hardware exploit that lets you run unsigned programs on the Switch.

"Nintendo's software patch shows those evil criminal pirates who's boss!", they say, as they pull Reggie's throbbing Samoan cock out of their mouths. Never mind the fact that the exploit is intrinsic to the nVidia Tegra X1 chipset, and can't ACTUALLY be fixed with software, due to it being a physical fault. And of course, it was hacked yet again, but the fact that they defend Nintendo's anticonsumer practices at all should be enough to tell you that they're basically in a cult of their own creation, because they talk down on other companies, like EA and Ubisoft, who do exactly the same thing, but not even as badly as Nintendo does.

These people will try telling you that you don't technically own the hardware, and it's just on long-term lease, because you're still using Nintendo's Operating Environment. If that isn't intellectual cuckoldry at its finest, I don't know what is.

He has a lot of stupid beliefs that disqualify him from being taken seriously as a public intellectual, from antivax shit to PETA support, both unforgivably stupid positions. He isn't an NPC, though, and routinely does shit to piss off SJWs, even treating them openly contemptuously, calling them snowflakes, and overtly loathing radical Islam along with all the other religions, all things completely haram to the NPC positions on things.

Yeah, Bill Mahr meets the definition of "idiot" and "self important smug jackass" but I can't see how he meets the definition of NPC, he certainly isn't just going along with the mainstream narrative.
