I agree, but if we close down, (or give that appearance,) then Phil will believe that his ridiculous threats and lies about gun ownership have finally scared us off. I'm not inclined to give him that satisfaction.

There are a number of ways. As others suggested earlier, you could lock it behind a post count gate. There are forums here that only people who donate can access. You could probably even say that you have to have a KF account to view the forum, and ban Phil's account and any socks that show up.

There are a lot of ways to do it. I have a little bit of experience with this , though not as much with Xenforo.

Perhaps give it an error message that says something like "you must be logged in to view this subforum" if anyone clicks on it. It'd force Phil to make an account at least.

Consolidating to a single thread would probably serve both the "no unwarranted attn" and "want to keep posting" people.

It was split up to begin with due to the amount of content being jostled around in the megathread and the same questions being asked repeatedly. I like the post cap idea as forum can be seen by those not logged in, as well as those who "support" him but do not post.

Since the sub was established he went from doing his overall sperging to focusing what everyone here was doing and acting accordingly. (ie. the constant roleplaying)

The problem that I see with this is that it prevents potential victims from googling his cool ass and getting the dirt.

Okay. I could not possibly be happier for you. The thread asked for opinions. I gave mine. You asked for more details. I provided them. You then dismissed me because I haven't been around for very long. That's okay, because I doubt this will be solely your decision, if, indeed, it is your decision at all. If the Kiwi mods didn't want newer members to have opinions, they would have put this discussion somewhere else. Like maybe a hidden forum.

Roleplay bullshit should result in a warning first and then a permanent subforum ban. It's by far the worst part of this forum.
 
Petition for those advocating the deletion of the forum be banned for white knighting Phil.
 
If you were to limit access, newer people who don't have a lot of posts would be barred and there would be an influx of shitposts to get in.
Also, you guys are failing to see that it's not just Phil that is a problem. It's pretty much his entire crew, past and present who keep feeding him that have created some of the issues of late lol. The Dusty/Footlong tales, Tweaker and their stories, etc. He feeds on drama like a cup o' noodles from a trash can. It seems to escalate when someone he knows is involved and those people keep poking the bear.
If we stopped talking about him, he'll still be sparring with his ex and cursing the Kiwi name.
I don't think the ideas presented in this thread so far would change enough to be effective.
