Whole heartily agree. There is this German chocolate sold at a candy store here where I live and it is so good. You can really taste the difference between German chocolate and American chocolate.

Now the thread is about chocolate, I want to make my own Salmiakki. I looked online for licorice recipes but I’m not sure if it’s actually black licorice, but I want to make my own silicone molds with my designs for a class project. If anyone knows anything about making licorice I would like to know lol.

The next to zero percentage of High Fructose Corn-syrup really opens the ignorant eyes of an American. Luckily I have family in Germany and Christmas time is even more fattening.

I do appreciate absurdity in the cosmic comedic sense, because absurdity in the world is just God's own humor manifesting through reality. We're all but fools in life at the end of the day and playing the jester is fun. Yes, I agree with you there.

Though having read the Albert Camus book Null likes so much, I disagree with Absurdism as a philosophy because it's shallow. There's some truth to be found in all ideas, but you take the good with the bad and discard whatever fails. His heart is in the right place when he says rolling the boulder up the hill matters as a matter of perseverance, but to consign yourself to the role of Sisyphus is to consign yourself to eternal failure, phenomenologically-speaking. Null by his own admission doesn't like books, I do, and I own a lot of them. I don't defer to Null on matters of philosophy because his worldview is good-natured but very scattershot.

Disregarding Camus, the actual myth of Sisyphus is that he was eternally punished by the gods for a violation of what was called Xenia or ritual hospitality in ancient Greek culture. Xenia (ξενία) still exists and is followed in various forms as a custom in European culture (which I personally am a part of by birth) today even outside of Greece because it's traditionally considered polite to offer guests who you respect food, drink, and board in your household as a gracious host. Sisyphus shouldn't be lionized even in abstraction because the view of him as heroic stems from a willful misreading of the classics.

Edit: I'm totally open-minded maybe I'm enjoying licorice wrong. Maybe I'm supposed to boof it.

I agree with him though. I've found Josh is pretty spot on with a lot of his takes on us broads. Problem is you don't hear from average birds much online and uni girls are babies that just ape the other kids in their circle, they represent maybe 5% of the total female population.

He's not right on everything, don't get me wrong, he seems to get us more than most. I mean, fuck me, the lad hits the pooner and fujo psychology on the head, that's rare insight into an obscure fembrained issue. You gotta respect him on that front at least.

Mind you, he does run a gossip forum...

It's nice to see. Feels fair and open, but most of all it keeps things interesting and dynamic. I've learned a lot from the kiwis I've disagreed with over the years, I'll bet Null and everyone of us has or will do too.

This place is a God send.
