What he says is very much in line with what I have met other men my own age who never been married say, so I don't really see anything unusual about it.

I can definitely see the advantages of no responsibilities. That will never be my life, but I understand why people want that kind of freedom. However, I find satisfaction in providing for child, husband, home. I like the burden of these responsibilities. They give me purpose and make my life, to me, personally, worth living.

Wanting freedom is fine, but I can't help but think that guy's probably single because of his lying and his attitude towards relationships. Obviously it's not going to work out if you're lying constantly. Cynicism needs to be earned.

The reason WOMYN vote liberal is because I, an anonymous user on a fringe e-celeb gossip forum, make sardonic remarks about women being retarded and that's it! It's always the moids fault and womyn have zero agency or responsibility for their actions (except for when they happen to be good)

I literally had to lie to "maintain the peace".
It was my naivete and desire to compromise to "make it work" that resulted in lies. Lying that I'm OK with going to a cheesy club instead of going to a rave and popping some ecstasy, dancing all night. Lying that I can tolerate spending the evening watching Gilmore Girls season gorrillionth for the billionth time. Lying that I am OK with meeting with your grugg drunken dad and wasting my day on a fishing trip. Lying I love your mom's cooking.

There's so much in modern life that's complete clown world and makes no sense, if someone can deal with driving cars and going to work and corporate shit, how is dealing with relationships (platonic or otherwise) something that people need academic study of? That's one of the few things left that are intuitive. It's one of the good things about them.

Maybe that's the problem, people get used to everything being really cold and clinical, and become so castrated of their instincts that they can't navigate basic human situations anymore because there isn't a convenient Youtube video they can look up for step by step instructions. They become the bugmen.

Again, you aren't getting it. I am a woman and I see what he is saying and I feel for him. He wants what I was so glad to give to my boyfriend. Him snuggled in my arms, completely helpless and resigned. I was only so happy to be there for him and cuddle him and kiss him and tell him we'll get through whatever. Men want to be vulnerable now and again. It is only human.

That's more reasonable than what I was expecting. Sounds less like straight up lying and more like trying and failing to be better than you are. Not as an insult; everybody does that, myself included. I rescind my criticism.

I don't think he is. He is redeemable. You have to look past his whole game. And again, age really plays a role, unfortunately, here. I don't think he is abnormal for his age and situation.
