Reactions: gampboonerisms
First part is Cyriak, I can't write duh/obviously in the way I'm thinking it. But the Lil' Nas X segment was absolutely The Residents. Not Ghost, sorry mati viewer. Ghost don't animate like that. The Residents have always animated like that.
Sorry for the late reply to these posts but these are the only mentions of this song on the Farms and I just noticed a very surreal easter egg; Sonichu appears in this official Weird Al music video at 3:01. I cannot find anyone else acknowledging this.

i might be wrong, but i think null noticed that on stream

I heard Null mentioned how he's started listening to country music. Just thought I'd recommend some Corb Lund, especially the song "Horse Soldier, Horse Soldier." It's a great song about cavalry throughout the ages, and as a bonus he calls the English wretched in the chorus (albeit as a begrudging compliment).

Ghoultown Official

Josh would kind of like them it's kinda like a mixture of country and Liberace and rocked

If Ralph ever fucks up big enough for a stream, good ending

Back in 2016 the Stumbellas had their indie-folk hipster anthem hit "Spirits" that you might remember
Well last year they released a new album for the first time in a long time, and the first song from it is kinda a spiritual sequel to Spirits that makes me very nostalgic
Holster is pretty good too. Also, I'll never stop shilling Glass Animals.

Probably already aware of this group but just in case, check out Two door cinema club!

Future island also has some great ones:

Ode to Greed by Simon Viklund
A perfect intro/outro song for when some trubo-grifter kicks it or for a DSP focused stream.

I remember Josh played songs by Rome for intros/outros on MATI a few times. The vocals here remind me of them, and it's got a bit of folk in it too.

Minenwerfer - Tiroler Edelweiss

It's from an album about German soldiers fighting both enemy troops and the elements in the Alps during the First World War. The song has a tinge of melancholy yet remains optimistic that the enemy will be dispatched. Truly a timeless struggle.

Since you like music that feels weird and unsettling

I did not expect to see atmosphere on the forums. I used to listen to him a lot.

You might hate this but this song is very weird and I kinda love it.

This is a really good kinda of soul/bluegrass song by a colored lady.

This is also a very good twangy Southern Gothic style country song.

Archers of Loaf - White Trash Heroes
Nicely sombre but not overly gloomy. I was reminded of this song today from H3's closing line to his response to Mr Johma (specifically the line "saw you smoking with all those new friends you've got to spare").

Maikeru - Sitting Alone
Cozy low fi-ish hip hop from Georgia (the Tbilisi one, not the Atlanta one).

The Longest Johns - Hog Eye Man
Jaunty folk ditty from the US performed by some Brits.
