If Null likes Alt-Country, he might like Outlaw Country. Very similar in that it doesn't have any of the faggy pop-country stuff and it's based. I have to recommend David Allan Coe.
He also did a fantastic comedy album where he wrote a song about coal burners (1st song).
I think Null might like these, these are sci-fi westerns and shanties from the 60s. They have a vibe about them that I found to be really enjoyable. These are the High Quality versions, but if you listen to the 'old' uploads they have grainy feels as if you're listening to an old record. This album had a few that are good, but anything adjacent to this can be a really rough.

I would also recommend the Sam Jones song from the same album, but it took a few listens to like it.
Null actually helped expand my musical tastes, believe it or not. I explore Apple music a lot and will start by recommending Missio, particularly their Loner album.
