I thought this furry might have bettered herself before today. Looks like I was wrong.

This is cracking me up mostly because it shows the critical flaws in everyone's gameplans.

The far right is basically trusting time to fix problems that need immediate medical attention or admitting they don't give a shit if people who aren't them die. The far left are admitting they have no idea what they're going to do if someone isn't spoon feeding them medicine/internet for their problems every day.

The very idea that we can cooperate and achieve more as a unit by sticking to basic societal guidelines is totally fucking lost. Thank god most people are too busy working on feeding everyone to notice how bad it's gotten, or it would suddenly get a whole lot worse.

Maybe these people should try living a healthy life instead of being sickly faggots who don't eat well and exercise, lol

I wonder how this affects people who got their insurance through the market place spawned by AHA. Does it make it null and void, or do they just get to keep paying the premium until the next premium bill goes up in price/they switch providers?

It just goes to show what fucking meaningless noise most political coverage is in the U.S. that this is even news. The House has voted to repeal Obamacare literally at least six fucking times, seven if you include this one which seems fair enough (it really depends on what you consider a full repeal). They do this shit, the Senate then doesn't do dick, and they crow about doing something totally useless, while both sides are apparently willing to pretend something just actually happened.

It didn't.

This. I've seen a number of conservatives saying this bill isn't going to survive the Senate, especially if the Congressional Budget Office comes out and says it's going to cost too much. This is just morons like Paul Ryan trying to put on a show pretending to do things before they run off for summer vacation in a few weeks. The same conservatives who say this isn't going anywhere are also concerned that the House Republicans just dug their own grave in the 2018 Midterms.

If I had a dollar for every "woke" person on my Twitter today hooting and hollering about how "DONALD DRUMPF IS LITERALLY KILLING ME!!!!!" I'd have enough money to buy my own damn health insurance.

It is fucking lovely to see the DNC's campaign strategies from the election last year have carried over. Republicans saber rattling? Oh, let's gather the troops and put forth a unified front:

"Babies will die!"

"No! I will die!"

"Not before trans people!"

"Women suffer most in insurance."

"My migraines! I can't get the pain meds I've been taking for 12 years anymore!"

"The poor! How about the poor?"

"There are poor LGTBBQ people and they will all die first!"

"The Muslim babies! My god, the Muslim babies!"

"They had beer! That beer killed every transvestite follower on my twitter."

This party is doomed.

I wish I were American. A Republican American. That way I could cuck millions of people daily by merely existing.

So, what exactly is in this bill?
Removes a lot of taxes, turns some things over to the state. The bill also explicitly allows you to keep your Obamacare plan if you so choose. Watching people explode about this is actually the most confusing thing I've ever seen. Pre-existing conditions are also covered. The first draft that failed was revised and resubmitted a month later. I think people are confusing this bill with that one.

This is basically the second time I have seen "omg the USA is basically a third world country/dystopia". I saw a similar post a few days ago and I just wonder if people really know what a third world country or a dystopia is.

Because the US might have problems (such as this healthcare thing and the lack of paid maternity leave), but I rather live here than somewhere I could get killed just for being raped.

You sweet American folks, explain to me why American kids don't get their healthcare paid for by the government. They don't make 'lifestyle choices' that the moralisers can blame their healthcare problems on, and they're too young to work and therefore pay for insurance of their own.

I don't get it. The arguments in favour of 'don't pay for healthcare for the scroungers RRREEEEE muh taxes' don't apply to kids. Why don't kids get paid for?

Is it not a social good and an investment in the future of the US as a nation to make sure kids are healthy, as well as educated (which the government already pays for)?

(I have asked this question elsewhere but the answer I always get is 'dunno'. You folks are more politically engaged.)
