I'm wondering if he's realized the Geek Squad isn't the Holy Mecca he thought it was and he's set this up in the delusional hope that he could bail on that and get the money he needs through Patreon.

And since Jay loves the quick and easy path, here's my dumb idea:

1: Speak out loudly against #GamerGate
2: Send himself death threats
3: $$$$$ into his account
4: Sit on ass and do nothing

Someone should tell him they thought he had an official Wiki, and then link the Golden Wiki. :P

I was thinking about that but right now I kind of want to make him stop and think of the logistics behind the money he'd be getting. Not even trolling. Just basic shit he really should have thought through. If he gives me the "Well, you'd be paying for my time of course!" answer then obviously I shouldn't invest.

My favorite part is where he acknowledges that there is a good chance backers will get fucked.

Why would you need to pay $25/month for access to the official wiki when it's already free?
I also like how he's apparently going to put spoilers on the entire series up, long before the comics/cartoons/whatever are created. :stupid:

Most likely he already hates his job
He's lazy as fuck (which he almost seems to realize in this post and his replies), so I'd be surprised if he didn't hate his job on some level.

I. Wow. If Jay gets money on Patreon I am going to make one myself. Seriously though, it still baffles me that he thinks his comics is anything worth paying for. Or anyone would genuinely like it.

We must all give this man all of our money.
Screw food, running water and electricity.

I wonder, does he think AVGN and NC walk around dressed like '80's nerds all day? Where would he even wear such a ridiculous suit of armor? He doesn't make Youtube videos! He wants to blur the lines between reality and his shotty doodles in the most superficial, silly way imaginable!

I enjoyed this particular comment he left on your profile.

I know he just meant "why is she still on DeviantArt" and not "why is she still alive." But with Jay I can't shake the feeling he sees "dead to him" and "dead to the world" as having only a hairs difference. Anyway, an inappropriate level of personal detail for one to share with someone they think is about to give them money.

God, that just reeks of passive-aggressive bitterness, like what the fuck. It's like you can actually hear him grinding his teeth while saying it.

Yeah, I have no idea why he posted that on my profile. I'm going to hide who I'm watching. I assumed he'd view me as an NPC and not even look at it. I guess the fact he views me as a potential investor means he magically gives a damn what I think.

I gave him a list of conversation points to bring to the convention that will help him spot bullies and help customers feel comfortable.

... he might end up asking everyone he meets if they have kids.
