The Japs are responsible for the post-war geopolitical screw-up in Asia.

If they hadn't invaded Manchuria, the Soviets wouldn't have had causus belli to invade Manchuria and then prop up the commie regime in North Korea.
If they hadn't invaded China and crippled the KMT, the CCP would not have taken over.
If they hadn't coup'ed the French colonial government in Indochina, the Vietminh commies would not have taken over.
If they hadn't dismantled the Dutch colonial government in the East Indies, Sukarno's commies would not have taken over.

That also lead to their neighbors in Worst Korea, becoming the US version of a Korean nation, who still can't get over grudges.

That still sounds better, than what passes for news on CNN, MSNBC, CTV (which has the exact same letters as CVT, which means TOTAL GARBAGE), and CBC.
