That’s Iran actually... and that attack didn’t cost us 120 billion and didn’t lead to any war. It was simply Trump daring Iran to do something stupid since they were harassing our ships in the Persian Gulf all throughout the Obama administratio. As you can see, the gamble worked.

Since nobody answered my questions, I will answer myself.

The reason why elections look like they do is to provide questionable entertainment and diversion for the masses, and then subsequently have a lot of excuses why nothing of value can ever be done by either side.

Meanwhile, unelected officials are going to stay in the same position as before: happy ruling over their little administrative fiefdoms without any perturbation and under radar of most of the media.
Having seen the inner workings of the government firsthand, that isn't really accurate. You see a lot of the same type and caliber of people, but the actual turnover is pretty high, especially during election years. Every few years there is some pivot in policy where people are cleared out for others that are "better suited" to take on the new directives. Burnout is also very high, and those administrative bureaucrats frequently leave their high stress government jobs to take cushy high paying administrative jobs in the private sector.

The establishment Republicans are probably happy with this outcome.
That's what I'm worried about. If he wants to maintain and strengthen the current coalition then Mitch needs to learn from Trump, distance the party from Trump, and respect Trump all at the same time without alienating any potential voters. We all know Ted Cruz probably secretly hates Trump and wants to plant himself back in the spotlight, so he could prove troublesome in the near future.

It literally doesn't matter anymore so I don't particularly care. If I'm wrong this is just dumb political sperging for everyone to see. It's funny, like you said, and makes things here a little brighter.

If I'm right then I get to tell everyone I told you so. It's a win-win. So I guess there is one thing to be optimistic about.

We're still all fucked though, irreparably and inconsolably. It's over. It's done.

"Muh based Hispanics" is a cope.
If you're that bummed just go blow your brains out.

Maybe I missed someone posting it but Trump is now 8k away from flipping Nevada and there is still 25% of the vote to count. He reduced Bidens lead by about 80k in the past 3 hours. GE is down to 20k vote difference with 80k votes to count meanwhile PA is sitting at 200k. They already are going to recount in GA and WI. In PA Biden might not get the 1% difference needed for a recount call. AZ still has about 400,000 votes to count and people are arguing if the sharpies they stuck up their asses count when used on the ballot. So we probably are going to get a lawsuit out of that.
Only 400k left? Man. I hate to admit this, boys... But it looks like jeb! just wont have enough

Sometimes its the politicians who said officials work with that are worse. In the commonwealth countries, we've had several shows produced lampooning how politics and the need to please donors has resulted in what is essentially political interference in government administrative function. Utopia/Dreamland and Yes Minister are probably some of the more well-known ones.

When a government decides to merge the portfolios of Agriculture, Environment, and Water Management together along with their respective departments, it's never a good outcome for the common citizen, but it does help their political donors out with getting past 'pesky' regulations. Or even getting taxpayer money spent on buying land from former donors at 10x its actual value.
