I don't understand why grown adults shit their pants so hard over him. Why not just laugh and move on? Why is he so important in their minds?

Trump was the common American's tool of defiance against the Neo-Liberal's (Democrats, Silicon Valley, Hollywood, etc. etc.) stranglehold on everything in their lives and was voted into power in a large part as a reaction to the MASSIVE mass rapes by "migrants" across Europe (and terrorism etc, which if you'll notice has all but been suppressed or overlooked except for certain key events now, unlike back in 2015-16 where reports of migrant crimes was global).
Trump was a symbol, and so attacking him was attacking Americans. Now, to folk using their gray cells this is ridiculous since Trump is not an icon, he's just a guy with shady ties to shady things and who has done shady things. However, they liked his personality and especially liked his frankness against everyone who they didn't like. He said what they could not.

As the mainstream outlets and social media attacked Trump, they attacked the American people, and they knew this. They were actively, knowingly attacking the people by through Trump. Why? Because it was their means of "force" against the people they thought were in accord with them, if only in subjugation or tolerance.

A lot of people mock lefties for continually going back to Gamergate as the cause of all this nearly a decade since, but in truth it really was. "Cultural Marxism", Yuri Bezmenov and the term "Social Justice Warrior" were not common vernacular, nor was anyone speaking about the evils of Socialism and the Frankfurt School. /pol/ used /v/ to spread awareness of these things and it worked. Call it "gay ops" all you like but man it really worked.
BLM would not exist if not for GG and "Not Your Shield" with it, because the powers that be saw the success such a supposedly organic movement could have.

They attacked gamers for wrongthink and Gamergate happened. They attacked Americans for wrongthink and Trump happened. Instead of finesse to succeed subversion they chose further shows of force--censoring, de-platforming, etc. all the way until 2020 when they outright endorsed mass riots involving arson of families in their homes, looting, murders, armed occupation of city blocks and even reports of rapes. If they had tact they could have won without cheating, but I think something broke them. Gamergate? No. That is actually stupid to believe, but it cracked the dam. Said dam burst at Trump's election. Why?
It was the idea that Americans could still defy an imposed social order and vote their defiance.
Now they made sure that wouldn't happen.

Win or lose, this whole debacle has utterly and irreparably damaged the Americans' view of elections, much like previous years have damaged Americans' trust in the media and even their own government. If win, they get what they want (sort of) and if lose then it was still a successful demoralization tactic.

TL;DR Trump to many people is an icon and their only means of defiance against the imposed social order that constricts, censors and attacks them and their values on a daily basis, so any attacks on him are taken personally, and they are ultimately intended to be personal too.
However, Trump is not a hero nor a good man, and so people who adopt this view are woefully misguided or just retarded, hence why so many Trump voters are willfully blind to the damage of revoking Section 230.

As much as people bitch and moan on the internet, both sides of the political spectrum are unwilling to practice what they preach. It's not like politicians on any side see their voters as anything more than a meal ticket anyway so as long as the sheep get their hollow victory at least one side is "happy" that their political waifu won the popularity contest.

I feel like wall street and the jews are too entrenched in the world's markets for things to shift away from the US still. The election looks bad, and it does matter, but I still think ultimately the systems of America are too large to be affected by such trivial things in the long run.
