I studied theology back in the day and you're not kidding. There's tons of references of this in ancient texts, myths and so on. Funny enough it's especially in the bible it seems, both from the Jewish texts and the Greek. Whenever God got pissed at a sinful country that "fills up its sin measure" he made said nation "drink down" the "wine of his wrath". The symptoms include: way more intense sinning from the sinning nation (because God's restrictions on them is lifted), mass confusion and open shameless behavior (literally "drunkenness, dancing naked" as allegory for this), the election of women and young people as rulers/judges, mass suicidal/self-destructive behavior and even allowing foreigners to take over their land and women (literal divinely instilled mass cuckoldry as judgement). Then they finally are destroyed by sword (war), famine, disease and/or beast (animals).

This is partly why some old Christian writers believed the Muslim hordes invading, raping and pillaging their lands was a judgment of God on their people, and why some Muslim scribes believed the same thing when the Golden Horde did the exact same to them thereafter.
Funny enough, Jews don't think this, at least not in the majority like they used to over a thousand years ago. When something bad happens to Israel they don't think God's angry at them, unlike most every other religious group to some extent, as if God could never be angry with them like he can be with everyone else. Weird, since the ancient texts say the opposite.

What's really spooky is the repeated emphasis on the people's madness--literally being translated "they drank the wine of the wrath of God and become deranged". Worst part? Even if God sends prophets to warn the people of what he's gonna do, the people don't realize what happened until it's too late

Well, when it comes to religion, I still have faith in God and that He will take care of us. At this point religious people can only pray.

I didn't study theology so I can't speak to what the Jews think or believe but usually they fall back on the "God's Chosen People" thing in a very literal way, right? Despite everything, God's covenant with them is still in play. One of the reasons why I'm leery of doing bad things to Jewish people, I must admit.

It really is spooky, damn. That gives me the shivers. I appreciate the knowledge, cheers bro.

If Trump loses, which he probably will at this point regardless of whatever evidence there may be of fraud, I think the biggest loss is going to be his tweets. Not necessarily the tweets themselves, but the ramifications of them. Powerful Trump always brought out the lolcows and was a shitposting force to be reckoned with. His bankruptcy of fucks and willingness to be a lolcow himself, combined with the reality that sinks in when you think "this is the man with the nuclear codes," won't be matched again in our lifetime.
I have no doubt the Republicans will win bigly in 2024 because they've adjusted their strategy now, they're starting to move away from the old "run any old pasty skeleton generic candidate" mantra and into "shock and awe", they're going to be going into 2024 with a lot of their voters convinced 2020 was stolen from them, they will control the senate until at least midterms and hold SCOTUS advantage. But unless he runs again in 2024 somehow, we might have lost the greatest shitposter of an entire generation.

I think that there's credibility to be questioned no matter who manages to pull it out.
Being realistic though, it would be pretty obvious which direction the fix is coming in from.
