Pennsylvania Secretary Of State Updates Guidance, Orders Ballots To Be Counted If They Arrive Late

Democratic Pennsylvania Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar issued guidance Sunday ordering ballots that arrive by Nov. 6 to be counted, with the Trump campaign calling the change-up “calculated.”

Boockvar issued the updated guidance ordering that ballots received during the three-day extension to be counted “as soon as possible upon receipt of the ballots.” This includes ballots postmarked on or before Election Day, as well as ballots that lack a postmark but are presumed to have been mailed by Election Day.

Justin Clark, Trump’s deputy campaign manager and senior counsel, called Boockvar’s decision “calculated” in a statement to the Daily Caller.

“Secretary Boockvar’s new guidance – a mere 36 hours out from Election Day – confirms Democrats’ true motive: stealing this election from President Trump with late, illegal ballots,” Clark said. “On a Sunday evening, when the Secretary thought no one was watching, she went for her calculated bait-and-switch.”

“She is blatantly attempting to steal this election for Joe Biden and the Democrats,” Clark added.

Boockvar’s last minute switch up comes just days after the U.S. Supreme Court refused to expedite Pennsylvania Republicans’ challenge to a Pennsylvania state Supreme Court order that allowed ballots received up to three days after the election to be valid even if they lack a postmark.

The court refused to expedite the case on the understanding that Boockvar would issue guidance ordering county election officials to “segregate ballots” received during the three day extension period.

Boockvar complied with the court, issuing guidance on Oct. 28 ordering all ballots received after Nov. 3 to be kept separate from all other ballots in case the Supreme Court rules the ballot extension is unconstitutional.

“The Secretary continues to defend the extension to ensure that every timely and validly cast mail-in and absentee ballot is counted,” the Oct. 28 guidance read. The guidance noted that since the issue is pending before the high court, election officials must keep those ballots separate, leaving them uncounted.

However, the Nov. 1 guidance now allows the segregated ballots to be counted.

Pennsylvania is a battleground state for President Donald Trump, with a new poll from Ipsos showing Biden with a 51% chance of winning the state.

I always find it silly that elections are so 'close' its not realistic to always be 51%-49% that just says to me there's always meddling made to look fair

BTW, does anybody wanna take bets as to whether there is yet another discrepancy between the popular and electoral votes?

I mean, if there is, we're gonna be hearing THAT fucking old ass tantrum again too. Because retards still don't comprehend something that has been in the Constitution since the very beginning.
I think that is the most likely scenario.

Hillary won the popular vote because of California. If you only take California away, Trump won the entire rest of the country by 1.4 million; Hillary won California by 4.3 million.

I think the popular vote gap shrinks for sure, but 2.9 million is a lot to overcome.

That said, I will still take my rainbows and say Trump wins by 250K.

Friends who live in rural Pennsylvania say Trump has solid support but the influence of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia always skew the results for the democrats. Similar situation in Maryland which is divided by the Chesapeake Bay. The Eastern Shore is solidly Republican except for Cambridge and has a Republican congressman, Andy Harris. However it's sparsely populated compared to the suburban mess around Baltimore and DC. Pennsylvania is still a toss-up but Maryland will go Democrat.

Isn't that what we've been hearing since 2000 though?

Weren't liberals known as the group being hip with technology and the internet. And conservatives were the ones stuck in their luddite ways.

Edit: I would also like to add that Obama's internet numbers dwarfed McCain and Romney. Its when Trump shows up in 2016, is when you see the Republicans start adapting to campaigning on the internet.
Who was the first candidate to campaign online?

Man, US elections make for such good entertainment. UK elections are second, but not a close second. Euro elections are so boring in comparison. I might stay up on tuesday just to watch everyone melt down live
I 've bet 50 dollars on a Trump victory. Am I a retard?
Nah. Even if Trump loses you made a really good bet as the odds are very skewed IMO. It's a coin toss for Biden at the very best at this point.

Between the "Mask Mandate" and "Early Voting" I think Democrats have been EXTREMELY over estimating the intelligence of the average voter. Like, most people are little better than feral cats level of sophistication.

Hence why I have a feeling Biden will take it since average voters will derp hard because "The economy went to shit because lockdowns" while ignoring the fact that Democrats pushed for the damn things.
Fundamentally, it all boils down to who they see as more responsible for the lockdowns- the governor or the President.

The fact that many Red states have reopened while Blue states continue to stifle under extended lockdowns should not be lost to some, despite the media fearmongering.

I cannot see Biden winning and I don't think the Dems have faith either. Plus it seems like every day I'm seeing some report of lost ballots, stolen mail, ballots found abandoned or dumped somewhere, I guess we are all just supposed to ignore that.
What troubles me is they've all set the stage for questioning the validity of it all no matter what. That's where you see the most riots and destruction across the world: when they believe the election is illegitimate. So they've already implanted that and Nancy Pelosi running her ghoul mouth isnt helping. There's stories coming out of many major cities where they are preemptively boarding everything up, I don't recall it ever being this bad.

so do any kiwis here actually believe there will be a civil war? i personally don't think anyone has backbone enough to do it. this year's riots were only so crazy because people were extremely bored during covid.

Make no mistake: there is currently a civil war going on. This is what it looks and feels like, but it's more like the Weimar Republic than Syria. The parallels to the Weimar Republic and ultimately the rise of the Third Reich are staggeringly similar, right down to the attempted Bolshevik revolution attempts and the Republic defined by Conservatives and Social Democrats.
The speaker of the house has spent 4 years trying to arrest the president, there are armed riots in the streets, people are dying. One half of the country seems like they want to very seriously rewrite the constitution or full-on annihilate American identity.
What leads to a civil war in full is a dissolving of the middle class, which is pretty much the only "center" politically. Revolutionary politics is extremely common throughout the world, it's more of the norm than whatever mishmash this is, and normally you could say it would die down but we are dealing with a global financial crisis the likes of which we haven't seen in generations. That's a massive factor. That means there can be no real appeals to normalcy, even the UN is saying normal isn't coming back. That's a perfect backdrop for things to really kick off.

Going out to buy popcorn for tomorrow, anyone else want some?
People are gonna sperg no-matter the outcome, it's just the times we live in, people feel entitled to what they want.
Even happens here in the UK to a lesser extent. People throw their toys out of the pram because their favourite corrupt leader didn't get to sit at the controls.
With that in mind, may as well kick back and enjoy the fireworks.
