And Bush fucked over our privacy and constitution with the Patriot Act... But hey, Trump and Kavanaugh are literally Hitler for drinking beer and saying no-no words!
And now those exact same people that used to be people I'd agree with are fine with wars as long as Trump is against them, and fine with giving up freedoms as long it "owns the republitards"

I always appreciate spending hours researching all the non-POTUS candidates and bills to decide what to vote on, only to find at the end some progressive or liberal voting site that has marching/voting orders for all their good little liberals that list just, entirely down ticket the opposite of what I voted. I don't know if that makes me less center or them just that far left, but boy oh boy wouldn't it be a shortcut just to look at what they say and vote the opposite.

Also, as other people have pointed out, bookies aren't buying into the Biden landslide hype. Betting Trump will barely make you anything, either for the presidency or for the various battleground states (in the latter case, most list Biden as the underdog)

In an attempt to keep this thread somewhat related to the election, what would be the reasons for a Trump win and the reasons for a Biden win? Just to get an idea of people’s thoughts.
Trump winning because he is more optimistic about Coronavirus, and people are pissed about the riots, and the media lies. If Biden wins I'm guessing it'll be a result of how powerful Trump Derangement Syndrome is, and whether the economic downturn and Coronavirus numbers are his fault.

Off topic but I can't help myself with this... why won't the baby boomers leave politics at this point? there has been four boomer presidents so far since 1993. We should have Gen X candidates by now. Jesus Christ, what happened to enjoying the golden years?
Gen X will just say nothing matters and rewatch Daria

Trump wins if he flips enough Latinos, black men, or a combination of both. Biden wins if he flips enough suburban whites, especially women. Biden wins if enough suburban white men let their wives send in their absentee or mail-in ballot

Didn't know where else to put this but thought you guys might be interested, here's a bunch of antifa setting out their plans to take over government buildings inspired by the tactics used in the Arab Spring (which - need I remind you - was backed by foreign intelligence agencies) in a Zoom meeting.

Trump win: he singled out state governments as the force behind quarantines/lockdowns; Biden promised to make them worse; Biden threatened oil and guns; Trump is not the antichrist, and has done quite a few things well despite immense passing and moaning.

Biden win: stealing electoral college votes.

Trump for the same reasons as the first time and they work again

Biden for the same reasons Hillary tried to use but this time they work

This really is basically the same election as 2016, except Trump has a record in office now. That's the only major difference. Are you happy with the fighting Trump has done against the managerial class and want him to continue, or are you unhappy because dammit Hillary was right about him?

That does not seem like a very smart reason for why the United States and Europe cannot be compared. One is a country and one is a continent. Well sure, but one is a country of closely associated states the size of a continent with representative democracy resulting in wide political diversity, and one is a continent of closely associated countries with representative democracy resulting in wide political diversity.

Why has no one ever thought that the endless USA-Europe comparisons are invalid because one is a country and one is a continent before? Guns? Nope, cant compare. Healthcare? Nope, cant compare. Standard of living? Nope, can't compare. Economy? Nope, can't compare. No comparisons, one is a country, one is a continent. All those summer comparisons of how great smart Europe and how bad dumb USA were doing are also tossed out I guess.
You cannot compare a continent consisting of autonomous countries with a singular country ruled by a Constitution and a single federal government, no.

Bush and Obama wiped out the potential class of Gen X candidates by getting them BTFO'd in 2006 and 2008 for the Republicans and 2010 and 2014 for the Democrats.

Reason for a Trump win: Honestly, the devil you know is better than the pedo you don't at this point.

Reason for Biden win: People are overall moderates and whitey is scared.
