That's never been in question. What's in question is what happens to the ballots while the resident is inside watching soap operas and some faggot with a man-bun under his ski mask comes and swipes it from the unsecured mailbox to cast an illegitimate vote in some old person's name without them even knowing it came.

I feel like actual tards, like Downies and hand-biters and paraplegics having their handlers vote for them is probably an ethics discussion that we need to reconsider. Not on election night, but before the next election.

If you get a disability check, there needs to be test you take to determine whether you keep your voting rights. I understand some folks like the blind or physically crippled ought to have a say in politics, but I question those that groan or blink as their primary form of communication.

It should be if you are involuntarily committed, under conservatorship, or a dependent adult because of mental disability = no vote for you. This wasn't an issue when people had to go to a polling place to vote or request an absentee ballot in person. But if we go down this road of mass-mailing ballots to every registered voter, people will receive ballots long after they have lost all their mental faculties. Even people like Joe Biden would be allowed to vote.

Many people have received mail-in ballots for people who do not live at their address, or do not live period. And they're not transported through any of the secure forms of mail like Certified or Registered. They're carried by the same people who routinely throw away mail when they don't feel like delivering it, and put in the same mailboxes from which criminals steal credit cards and such.
