Let's presume that Biden confirmed wins, that no court action remedies this, and that there really isn't any fuckery going around, and that it's all cope (press x to doubt). Question is, where did we go wrong? This guy objectively ran one of the weakest campaigns possible. Gaffe prone, lid calling, weak at debates, shitty running mate etc. How did he flip these states (other than fuckery)? Is TDS really that strong of a motivator?

We're having a recession and a pandemic under Trump, that's enough to body anybody regardless of the causes. That aside, Trump's campaign was much weaker than his 2016 campaign. Against Hillary he appealed to people with populism and his outsider shtick. Now after 4 years he's the insider and he's been shown to govern like a standard republican, asides from some foreign relations matters. He can't use the same arguments against Biden so he's left screeching SOCIALISM at a moderate democrat.
Consider Trump's 2016 closing campaign ad. He hasn't released anything that good this time around.

If the roles were reversed and Pence was the primary candidate, he’d more than likely sweep the floor with Biden.
