Dumb question, can someone remind me why California has so many Electoral votes compared to any other state?

population. bigger population, more votes. However, smaller states get guarenteed a certain amount of electoral votes so politicians still have to campaign there to ensure a path to victory.

If you zoom in on NC it's 100% counted and they're not calling it.
