It's the exact opposite of idiocy. Voting for the interest of the group you belong to is the entire basis of policy. "X candidate things white people are awesome and he promises he'll do a bunch of shit for white people" is absolute common sense if you live in a multiracial country.

In the post-enlightenment world, your policies should be about doing the best for the whole of your population, not just parts of it based on flash tone.

Hurricanes are a vortex. It's entirely reasonable to think that if you can blow the vortex apart the hurricane dies. People seized on the word "nuke" to make a big deal out of it.

There's probably more involved with atmospheric/ocean currents, but as a layperson and not a weatherman I can see the reasoning behind asking the question, and in all honesty it probably would work. The issue is that the blast force of a big enough bomb would likely create a Tsunami. (Remember, the US still has a bunch of MOABs that could be dropped without irradiating things.)

You very much underestimate the amount of energy in a hurricane. Not only would it create a tsunami, but it wouldn't do shit to the hurricane and it would warm the water, which would increase the hurricane's strength.

I personally really don't care who wins but with so much shady shit being brought up, it leaves a foul taste in my mouth to just ignore it. I mean sure, chalk it up to skepticism or not trusting what the media tells you or good old fashioned bias, but hearing 50k Ohio voters never got their ballots or Detriot boarding up their polling station's windows is eerily sus to me.

Honestly, they should toss this shitshow of an election out and have a do-over next month or something; in-person only because our government obviously can't handle mail-ins neither in-time or without them getting lost or thrown in the trash.

Well that has been the Democrat messaging all year with the riots and now this. It's "you can have peace and normality when we're in control. If we're not we'll burn down everything."

The truth is that the average rando white person in St. Louis feels no kinship with another rando white person in Seattle or Paris, or another rando white person who lived and died in the 18th century, just because they happen to have the same skin color. They probably couldn't give less of a shit about them. They probably care much more about their friends, neighbors, and coworkers who they see and coexist with for mutual benefit every day, regardless of their race. Ted Cruz is what everyone is thinking right now, he's been making cool moments like screaming at Jack Dorsey and would do well with the Hispanic vote. That beard of his has made him look less like Grandpa Munster which is a big help.

Lindsey Graham had like... one cool moment in the Kavanaugh hearing but thats it, he'd flounder. I think people have been talking about him.
