Biden wants to bring in 115k refugees a year, more than any before. He wants to put a 100 day moratorium on deportation once he gets in office, undoubtedly encouraging millions of people from central America to cross the border. He wants to expand foreign worker visas to levels never before seen. He wants to give 11 million illegal aliens "a roadmap" for citizenship. This is your "moderate" on immigration, fuck off

Do you actually believe Trump wouldn't have given the not 11- but twenty or thirty or forty million illegal beaners in America amnesty in his second term, if he'd been able to con enough people into voting for him?

Trump did nothing to reduce H1 and H2 visas until he was forced to in 2020 by his deliberate failure to stop the coronavirus spreading, in fact he made sure that the workers coming in on H1b visas weighted even more heavily towards Indians, arguably the worst 'people' in the world.

Why would he do anything else? Sure, it pissed off the people who voted for him in 2016, but it made his good buddies and financial backers Paul Singer and Sheldon Adelson happy, and that's all that counts.

The problem with that argument is that there are already ways for people to become citizens here in the US. The issue lies in the courts and how clogged they are by criminals who are illegals. Another issue lies in Sanctuary cities , who defend these criminals like actual citizens.

Keep in mind there was a big amnesty bill that was trying to pass by house democrats in 2014 that would give amnesty to millions of illegals already in the country and to provide a new voting bloc for them. While I don't think that there will be a bill proposed by that for 2 years by the Dems, I think if someone whispers in Biden's ear the right way he might try to make it a executive order.

I see what you're saying. I am definitely not in favor of illegal immigrants being given the same protections/voting rights as normal citizens and I don't think a moderate president with a GOP senate is going to usher in that sort of thing.

I just feel like this is a president where not much is gonna change.

Biden was the perfect candidate to go against Trump. Anyone else would have been crushed like a fly on a wall.
