A lot of Neocons were never on the Trump train. I'm assuming Trump's presidency helped make their case against him stronger. Previous to Trump, I thought the Dems relied on identity politics while the Reps at least pretended to care about the constitution or conservatism or something. Maybe I was and idiot. Now both parties are really leaning in the identity politics schtick, which is really unfortunate because you can change your ideas about the appropriate rate of taxation a lot more easily than you can change your demographics. There's really no discussing an identity, hence riots.

Really though, even if Trump never came along both parties were eventually going to take us on Mr. Bones Wild Ride to social credit town. That's just accelerated now because Reps forgot they were supposed to be the small government party and not the 'big government is okay when we do it' party.

We really need a third fucking option. Trump could of been that, but than he just bitched on Twitter for 4 years (i mean it was funny, but like he could of done more!) so I guess a true third option will only happen when people see that both sides don’t care about them.

there will be no third option, there isn't even a second option really. there is only one political establishment, at this point in time the two parties merely exist to keep up the illusion of choice and democracy.
any republican congressman has much much more in common with some democrat congressman than he does with the republican voters who elected him. same for the democrat congressman and his voter base.
these political parties, this political establishment, they are way too entrenched and the institutional power they hold is way too large to ever be challenged by any person or group trying to work within the system.

Biden doesn’t matter. When the investigations get to close to the hunter stuff they will just get rid of him. All he was needed for was to take out Trump. Everyone knows Biden is just a placeholder and they are 100% ok with that.

So how many states ended up landing within the threshold for recounts? Looks like it'll be PA, GA, WI and possibly NV and AZ.

Sounds about right although even without an automatic recount statute you can go straight to court. I assume in the optional states there will be some strategic choice of forums. While the recount statutes usually require some threshold, filing suit in the absence of such a statute, or outside of the availability of a party requested recount, would probably require allegations of actual fraud or some evidence of it, something Trump's allegations of fraud have usually been entirely lacking in. If he loses it's fraud every time.

I couldn't give two fucks about Donald Trump the person myself, but I saw him as a far more appealing candidate than anything the Democrats have pushed forward. I largely agree with his politics as well, save for his somewhat overzealous usage on tariffs on European countries. Raising tariffs rarely work for the usually intended purposes, other than when you're faced with an extraordinary situation, such as the one with China. What can be considered his failings can largely be blamed on the pigheaded and childish opposition he's had to put up with.

What the brainlets who cheer this trainwreck of an election on don't grasp is that when such obvious shenanigans — and censoring of said shenanigans — is occurring, then what happens to the public's trust in the system? If that trust is eroded to a certain point, then what will the consequences be in the long run? Will America face a constitutional crisis down the line when the fraudulent behavior is this transparent and encouraged?

At the end of the day, we should step back and remember what site we are happy to be on.
