Isn't that a reason not to be fine with the audit, then? If there's no evidence of voting fraud, then the Trump campaign might use any excuse they could to get legitimate ballots thrown out. For example, they're challenging the legitimacy of votes that were submitted within the extended state deadline for mail-in ballots.I am fine with an audit, but to call it an "investigation" when there is no evidence of voting fraud is disingenous.
This has definitely given me pause in the lawsuits. If Trump is so confident in the voter fraud allegations, why not directly attack it from a criminal perspective? Why try to find technicalities? A ballot being "late" does not necessarily mean a real person didn't vote.
