I've heard about this great threat for literally my entire life, and the only way it has ever negatively affected me in the deepest red parts of the country (where you can still leave your doors unlocked, trust your neighbors, etc) is that sometimes you have to wait until noon on Sunday to buy beer.

During that time, every prediction the most rabid conservative Christian conspiracy theorists made has come true and then some...even they never predicted State-mandated chemical sterilization and surgical castration for children, whom middle-aged men in lingerie are permitted to twerk for on television.

So at this point I'm perfectly fine supporting those who saw this coming, the hyper-pious uncles who seemed too strict, and who pointed to what seemed like outdated traditions and standards of behavior, realizing that was society's scaffolding being undermined. Maybe we can rebuild all those Chesterton's Fences we tore down.

• Ballot harvesters are universally on the left
• The “I’m mad as hell and not gonna take it anymore” get repeatedly bitchmade and this election is not any different

It's a win-win, Trump will spend the entire term recovering the economy to do anything while the Dems use his presence as the sole reason why the economy is bad. Then, after a week of extra counting it will turn out Biden won with the most votes ever thanks to all the mail in ballots and just so happens to be by enough of a margin that recounts are not "needed" according to legislations.

I was thinking of visiting the US on holiday round about Halloween but I'm seriously reconsidering it depending on how nuts this election season gets.

Nothing will happen until after. People's minds are already made up. Biden could take a nap until election day and Trump can sit in one of Biden's prison cells. Nothing will change. Nothing will happen. This has been the most sedate election cycle in decades because nobody is even pretending there is going to be a campaign. Sure, the political parties are going through the usual motions, but even those are being done like the Priest doing the Eucharist service for the 1,000th time in his old as fuck life. Important rituals that must be done, but with all the fervor and zeal of a slow wet fart.

Then after Biden won and the protests stopped being politically convenient "the science" kicked back in and Biden was floating a mandatory 100 days of re-locking back down to stop-the-spread after being inaugurated.

That said I still think Biden's winning. I don't think MAGA's gonna try their luck with another January 6th. Their dear leader might already be in jail or he'll just do what he did last time: ignore their pleas for help.

Don't sell the Democrats short I fully believe they can lose their shit enough to think storming the capital is a good idea.

First I'd like to say that the United States has totally free and fair elections. Voter fraud, if it does exist, is insignificant and can never change the outcome of an election. Any suggestion to the contrary is foreign malign influence, and we need strong partnerships between the government and private business to ensure such influence cannot be propagated on the internet.
