Ffs, the cockroaches people keep are not the ones that invade your house. I've seen pet roaches for sale that have a very pretty shade of green naturally. It takes maybe 2 seconds of research.
Only German roaches infest homes, most roaches aren't pests at all and live in tropical rainforests (like hissers).

They are right though that I'd much rather have roaches and be around them than incels.

The real bugpill is realizing the bug life is much more pleasant and rewarding than living with a moid that treats you like shit (especially since bugs aren’t going to beat you to death).

Why do men love Fight Club so much? It's an okay movie for a "boy movie" but it's really not that great and goes on way too long. Also Brad Pitt is mid.
I'll have to find it again, but I found a pretty good video on Youtube that hypothesized that Marla was also a figment of Jack's imagination (In the book the protagonist ends up in a mental hospital) and was his feminine side. In the end the female side wins and Jack is now fully Marla because their looks mirror each other.

And I mean when you look at trannies it's obvious men want to be women.

Found it:

Ah, you mean Turks

Also like, the cold calling on social media. Idk if anyone gets this regularly but as a woman on Facebook, cor nextdoor, if I ever make a post or participate in a discussion I always get *atleast* one DM from a dude telling me how hot I am or even just cutting the to the chase and asking me for a hook up.
Powerful niggardry

It used to hurt that even men who are close to me discount what I say and women's experience in general.
For example, current dude, when I got upset and went to him for support over the way men treat me in public, he tells me that they act like that because they're attracted to me, and also if I feel like every time I go out I am put upon by men in a distressing way, I'm overreacting / he doesn't believe it's that bad. I explain to him about all the experiences I've had before, and how all that compounds to the way I feel about men, and thus that is why I am so upset at seemingly innocuous little situations of "just" being treated like an inhuman, objectified THING for being female. According to him, there is no reason for women to be afraid of men, it's not a bad problem, he's never seen it.
I tell him other women live the same thing. Doesn't believe me. I show him articles, blog posts and videos from other women, he starts to get mad about it and like, I am bothering him with all this. All this time, I'm getting more and more frantic, because I "love" this fucker and I just want him to believe me and consider what I say to be valid, a fucking minimum requirement for a loving relationship. His own mother tells me out of the blue that she's afraid of male violence (obviously, but when you're arguing with a gaslighter who tells you you're crazy, this kind of validation of something you already knew feels very... meaningful)
He is close with his mother, talks to her every day, and she has fears of men like every woman, but he insists he doesn't think women should have a negative feeling about men and I'm crazy to feel that way. Unbelievable. He doesn't care to listen to women he's close to, he doesn't care to listen to large numbers of women saying the same thing, he just DOESN'T CARE. This was an epiphany. Stop trying to convince him, because he's not in good faith. It doesn't hurt anymore, because I've decided what he thinks simply doesn't matter anymore, he's just a dumb male after all.
This by the way is the best man I've ever dated, the first one who's bothered to consistently make me come. So there's that at least.

Chuck Palaniuk was convinced at the time that he wrote the book that there weren't very many good portrayals of male bonding, so maybe it's something akin to that.
It's a pretty bleak book if it's meant to symbolize healthy male bonding. A guy who goes to testicular cancer support groups falls in love with his own alter ego, and starts a violent male-only cult where everyone is named "Robert Paulson". The punishment for breaking club rules is castration.

Also it's a damnably homoerotic film and book. There's a scene in the book where Tyler Durden kisses the narrator's hand and then dumps lye on it to give him a lip-shaped chemical burn.
It's also just weird how the men can't authentically have a sexuality with women (at least, the narrator can't seem to, and he chiefly identifies with men who are rendered impotent from cancer treatment) but instead subvert their sexuality into some extremely gay looking male-on-male fights.

Definitely true. Funnily enough, I think Marla might actually be my favorite character in the book/movie.

male-on-male fights
Oh boy.
This is a whole barrel full.
I think this boils down to how much of an ego a dude has.
Sometimes even a good role model cannot talk someone off the ledge. Even if the fight is causing wreckage.
As to portrayals of good male relationships I can cite Wilson and Tim Taylor from Home Improvement, on the other hand AL Borland is a toxic example.
As to dads hanging with each other I see no good pop culture guides.

Chuck Palahniuk (the writer of Fight Club) has another book, Invisible Monsters, possible spoilers because I haven't read it in years a self hating gay man basically troons out in order to skinwalk his more successful sister because it's the greatest form of self harm he could think of

Palahniuk also wrote Guts which is (in my opinion) a testimony to the depths men will go to to get their rocks off (and an excellent short story). Also Snuff, Diary, and Choke are pretty good stories about shitty men. I mean, in Snuff a kid(18) is trying to meet a porn star because he's CONVINCED she's his mother, spends the whole book certain this porn star is is mother, take a wild guess what he does when he finds out she's not his mother.

Anyway I love Chuck Palahniuk and if you like weird uncomfortable stories you might also, he does lean into "men are deviants" especially in Choke which is another "men will do almost anything and believe almost anything for pussy." If you're looking for a less man specific "humans are deviants" story Haunted (which contains Guts) is very good.

Edit to add a link to Guts. The format is weird and if you get queasy easily I don't recommend reading on a full stomach https://genius.com/Chuck-palahniuk-guts-annotated

I actually wanted to use the gender pay gap as an example, but I didn't want to incite political sperging. It was the best one I can think of.
Essentially, the wage gap diminishes as age is accounted for.
For the same job, a woman up to 30 makes less than a man, around 20% or so if I recall from the analysis I did back then.
For the same job, a woman at 50 makes 99.997% salary compared to a man. Totality wise. Difference is statistically insignificant.

So the wage gap is due to:
- Maternity leave
- Age, largely correlated with experience
- Countries with garbage labour laws that allows discrimination towards pregnancy, which in turns makes it sexist discrimination towards women
This isn't because of outright sexism or whatever other shadowy forces, but rather shit companies treat workers like shit, and a pregnant mother doesn't generate as much money for those parasites.

Nope, the idea of men being more aggressive with negotiation isn't that significant of a factor. It can't even be quantified properly.
Agree. In fact, I am willing to bet that there’s a correlation between awarding of alimony and the pay gap. As the pay gap diminishes with age, the alimony discrepancy should also disappear. The courts have no reason to arbitrarily take money from a man and give it to a woman if they make about the same salary.

The whole point of alimony is to support the homemaker spouse because they aren’t yet fully integrated in the job market. Moids won’t advertise this but the real reason they’re butthurt about alimony is because they want women totally dependent on them. You see, if their wife is forced to choose between homelessness and continuing to tough out the relationship, she might just grit her teeth and bear the moid’s insufferability.

It’s all a larp anyway because they also want a mommy bangmaid sugarmama. SMH. They want all the benefits but none of the responsibility of a return to patriarchy.

Wage gap may be easy to control for, but from what I understand divorce is almost always bad for the women financially. It's to do with the years spent out of the workforce, difficulty re-integrating into the work force, and women's disproportionately large investment of time and labor into childrearing.

I guess some of this could be blamed on women themselves, but IMO the weaponized incompetence of men plays a part in that too.

the woman hate thread has memes I first saw in 2014. talk about hilarity
My memes are fresh and homemade. I thought they just seethe about us in that thread? You know what they say, great minds discuss man hate, average minds discuss lolcows and small minds discuss the man-hate thread. Pretty sure that's how that saying goes.
