The purpose of this thread is "Man Hate". It is not a thread for men to ask why they hate men. It is not a thread for trannies, period. It is not a thread for women to defend men. The concept is simple.

I think the villain-hiding-in-the-bushes scenario is rare compared to an acquaintance of the victim luring them into a private place where physically subduing them is easy.

For rapes, yes. If I care more about what's in your purse I'm going to hit you while you're stopped at a traffic light, or walking through a parking garage, or I'm going to pull up on you when I see you walking down an empty street late at night. These kind of attacks aren't at all uncommon.

criticizing dyn is fine, he got plenty of push back when porn was discussed. I don't think he was threatening anyone with violence here though, just saying how men will react in that situation. I don't think it's necessarily true tho, I read that they usually look for a victim that won't fight back, but you never know what kind of crazy you're dealing with, he might give up or he might rape and murder you.

Men policing other men's behavior is so rare. I've seen it happen, like, twice? My brother and his friends iced out a friend who had hit his girlfriend after they called him a womanbeater (lol). My uncle has tried to have a "man to man" talk with the aforementioned alcoholic cousin. Many times over, I've seen guys hand-wave away awful behavior from other men because it's "not my business." I had one male friend tell me that if he saw a man hit a woman in public he wouldn't get involved unless it was a homicidal beatdown.

One of the best "men policing men" moments I ever saw came at a music festival I was attending. My buddies and I were walking back to our car at the end of the night when we saw a guy about twenty or thirty feet away yelling at his girlfriend for some really stupid reason (don't remember exactly what it was, but it was definitely nothing worth being an asshole over). She was standing up for herself and not taking his shit, and he finally got so mad that he backhanded her in the face about as hard as he could. About six other spectators, all male, were on him almost immediately and hauled him off between two cars and treated him to an old-fashioned ass beating. Miraculously, when the cops showed up, nobody they asked had any idea who had just been stomping the dickhead's face into the gravel, including the girlfriend and her friend, and he got hauled off in cuffs. It was one of the greatest FAFO moments I've witnessed.

That's true, but it's still relative. If all victims will fight back, you don't just give up on being a predator, you look for the victim who'll fight back the least.
