Even if they are not obese, or let's say they're a tiny bit better than 80 IQ as well, they will still be completely delusional about their particular obsession and there will be overlap with entrenched, porn-fostered misogyny. Given that there have already been studies on the age of the father contributing greatly to the autism of the offspring, it would seem that years ahead of time, chromosomal damage, which would be endemic in certain individuals at that point, would then be passed on to the newly produced genetic material, but I'm just guessing here.

I read more of the FAS paper (archive), and it seems like male offsrpings get extra screwed over if the paternal side is exposed to alcohol. Interesting. I wonder if it's possible to do the analysis on humans.
Finally, we conducted a dose-response analysis, contrasting offspring snout-occipital distance and body weight–normalized brain weights with the parental average daily ethanol dose (g/ kg). We identified a significant correlation between both measurements and parental alcohol dose for male offspring across the PatExp and DuelExp treatments (Figure 1, H and I). In contrast, we only observed a significant interaction for female offspring in the MatExp and DualExp treatments (Figure 1, H and I). Aligning with previous studies examining MatExp using the C57BL/6J mouse model (5), our dose-response analyses identified a consistent inflection point of 2.9 g/kg, past which PatExp induced significant craniofacial and central nervous system growth deficiencies (Figure 1, H and I, dashed line).

This is correct. And I'd encourage you embrace it rather than filling in with, "a woman who....". If you're a woman, you're a woman. Doesn't even need to be announced.

I'm kind of...dismayed that women in their 30s (and 20s) might feel this much conflict about being a woman or feeling like you need to specify "what kind" of woman you are.

I thought we were past at least that.

And did no one read The Secret Garden, the Anne of Avonlea books, Laura Ingalls? Fuck, Pippi Longstocking, even (couldn't stand that character for whatever reason, but she was a spunky girl-hero). We've had models for being yourself and liking frogs for ages.

Wtf happened*? My cohorts - and many, many younger women I have known over the years - have felt completely comfortable being women. And I'm including the whole sea of "unconventional" women, the most and least sociable, the introverts and extraverts, the conventional and the vanguards and the idiosyncratic and the asocial.

*I mean society-wise; I am sure individual experiences can fuck it all up.

I'm not talking about not experiencing discrimination and harassment, which can have inhibiting effects - we have had it in spades - and I'm not talking about sexual orientation or presentation or anything related, nor anything about being pretty/desireable. I am talking about being good being women, who and how we are. Unrelated to and unaffected by others' bullshit, at least in that regard, even if nothing else.

If nothing else, the women I know/have known know that - that they are women, full stop. And don't feel they have to apologize, obscure, or qualify it - however they look, whatever they enjoy, whatever choices they have made. It's an essential part of identity, and it is not exclusively or even mostly about sexuality or reproductive anything . And it's sure not about who or how many people think we are attractive or "acceptable."

I don't know, gals, but if as a grown woman you're actually uneasy being one, I'm :-( for you. And if it's all the bullshit from SM and other online stuff that is forcing a retreat to fear/loathing, cut it tf out of your life. Fuck apologizing for the kind of woman you are or as though you need to add qualifiers or descriptors everytime you describe yourself. You are a woman and a person who likes x.

I used to love finding the tiniest baby toads with my little brother and we did our best to gently pet them if they felt like being still. The adults would be more confident and had acclimated to human exposure in our garden.
One summer day, a cousin was visiting and roughly picked up one of these toads so abruptly that urine streamed down my cousin's wrists and forearms while I warned him to stop and let the toad go.
