I agree that this thread is very cathartic. I've mentioned previously that I've been in a number of radfem communities (online; it still feels too dangerous for me to appear on the streets about it, lol), but the best community I've come across seems to be made up of women who are primarily about a generation older than me, and their speech is very controlled. I imagine they control it so tightly as an Internet preservation measure. The other places are pozzed megacorp social media sites with structures that don't really lend themselves to much quality archiving/information pooling anyway, and the fact that I probably share other similarities with the women who would be on this site is a nice bonus as well.

I think the realization that men simply can't view women in such a way to be friends with them without wanting to get their pp wet is the realization that "peaked" me on men. Men are gaguing your looks and if they can get you or not and it's true for every man t throughout history.

I would add to your statement however, that a person can be easy on the eye, but still unattractive; Yes, even to men.
Example - a good female friend of mine is undoubtedly highly attractive by the current western zeitgeist and we get along well because we have shared interests that we can engage in.
I am however, utterly repulsed by her on an intimate level, because she is a complete pushover who will lose her cool at the mildest inconvenience and will lean on others at the earliest possible moment. Mind you, that seems to be highly attractive to a different kind of man that I also find repulsive. You know the type - guy who gets his ego off on being big protector dude because all women uwu smol beans.

Reminds me of one of the most embarrassing things a man can say, and it's still a statement you'll read every now and again - woman X invited sexual harassment/assault because she dressed in a revealing manner. Valid. I'm pro men and women being friends: my friendship group is split even IRL. Some women just get along better with men too.

I'm down with women or men only wanting to hang around other women or men as friends as a personal choice. No one should be made to be friends with someone they don't want, men should have some male clubs and women should have some women clubs. If we enforce it then we go towards India and Muslim countries on "send bobs never talk 2 gorl bitch lasgana" stuff. Men also need to be exposed to women SO THEY KNOW THEIR PLACE, TRASH
