I think it depends on the person and their relationship with sex. I dated a girl that waited for 2 weeks because she wanted an emotional connection. While another girl I dated viewed sex as merely a recreational activity and said if they were desperate for money they'd probably get into sex work, since in the past they already spent months just lining up tinder bangs.

Men can be so astoundingly violent when it comes to sex. And yes, the registry is mostly male, like all kinds of criminals. I figure women are either less inclined to offend, or they're better at not getting caught.

The only instance in which men do more child/house work than women is when women are the sole earner - and even in those cases they do far less of it, literally and proportionally, than women do when the man is the sole earner.

The life of a man like that is as that of an indoor cat.

This is such a canard. The number of men's lives "ruined" or even meaningfully negatively impacted by baseless accusations is barely a sliver of the number of women's lives ruined or meaningfully negatively impacted by rape, sexual assault and discrimination. I don't mean to Brownmillerpill the whole thread, but it's more than just a canard. It is an alibi given to excuse men when the girl does report it. Because ~half of them are fake, get it? You cover for your bros. But the appeal to baselessly accuse a man, even one you have something against, of rape & frame him is so minimal as to be ludicrous. It's just such a lose-lose scenario for the woman. Either she'll be proven a liar, or her sexual life gets to be a matter of judgement and public record. Yet the story persists and it discourages women from reporting when things do happen. After all, you don't want to be that bitch who ruined a promising young man's life over something that was over for you in a few minutes, right?

Sorry to bring love to the hate thread, but I love my construction working husband. Decades of it and he is beat up, but he makes good money and he knows that's the trade off.

What cracks me up is the guys online who complain about men going into the military or construction...I don't get the impression any of them have actually sacrificed their bodies for money anyway.

I find these kinds of insults to be really interesting just because they're almost never wielded against the people they're meant to demean, and act more like a code for the subtext of the conversation, if anything.

The flipside of that is "incel", where it started as a self-label but started being used as an insult by people outside the group.

I wonder if this kinda thing is a direct result of echo chambers, or if it existed before the internet? Racial slurs were actually used at the groups they demean.
