• One Piece= so in japan it's slightly more coomer but in America the guys who like this are usually your good hearted types. They're goofy. Usually more interested in the male characters than the tiddy bait. The author actually got a lot of shit for how he draws girls. I cannot review European OP bros.
• Junji Ito= maybe edgy, not coomer, potentially also an esoteric normie because he became super mainstream. He's baby's first Guro/horror manga.
• Madoka Magica= Leftist, usually a bit stunted emotionally. Likely has had gfs. Not coomers.
• Gintama= completely green flagged for all countries. Yes it has some sex jokes if you're a ~prude~ but it's all very surface level humor in a Japanese way (Fun fact: HIGHLY suspected its written by a woman or co-written by a woman because of interviews given, she said author said they were asked to serve tea because nobody knew who they were at this manga author meet up, this is 100% a woman's job in Japan.)

Anime Vidya Games

• Danganronpa= probably also likes Homestuck. Is probably a girl. Run nigga run. (The game is fun, the fans are insane)
• Persona= this is a coin flip there is coomer stuff but the stories are is also genuinely interesting and the gameplay is fun. There's mild fuckery in some of the games like you can romance characters and in Persona 5 your highschool teacher is an option...
• Doki Doki Literature Club = edgy, weird, the game is genius tier story telling and coding but the big fan boys are just... odd. I've met ones who were okay people.

Honestly I think you can tell more about someone if you ask what characters they like and WHY they like it. Knowing WHY is more important. For example, I have the same favorite book as Vladimir Putin, (Brothers Karamazov) but Putin and I are almost nothing alike and would likely 1v1 irl. We also probably have different takeaways from the novel despite both loving Dostoevsky and being fans of all of his works.

If Dostoevsky can appeal to a Japanese agnostic Sapphic woman who likes to say slurs online and to a Russian Christian heterosexual man who runs a country, there is likely something worth investigating for yourself.

which give you red flags, but since I see this topic prospering here are my thoughts/stereotypes.

• HxH= Mixed bag. Black, normie, Arab or left-leaning dudes. Left-leaning dudes
  will try to say HxH is LGBT representation due to certain characters (such as Pitou, Alluka and Kite)
  and try to analyze it through "queer lens" or whatever the fuck, very similar to Madoka guys.
  Normies constantly do trap jokes about the catboy.
  
  
• Kemono Friends = Either it's super racist dudes similar to K-On!
  Or dudes that are very autistic about "wholesome animes".
  
  
• BNHA= Again mixed bag. You either have blacks, normies or edgelords.

  oversexualized, while either ignoring how much yaoi content is there for male characters
  or them having a porn folder dedicated to the frog character. Edgelords tend to be similar

From my experience, they are indeed massive faggots but a different way.
They are annoying in a weird ironyfagging way where they'll say "Oh I love JoJo because it's SOOOO dumb",
instead of being sincere about it. It's like you can't like anything these days without seeing these types

I recently heard a story from a young woman I know. She had a boyfriend (both early in college, met in summer and dated long distance). This boyfriend, outwardly, seemed like a lot of potential - STEM at a let's say top 3 university particularly for STEM; came from what originally sounded like interesting/ talented parents; was objectively good-looking, tall, fit/athletic; played piano, enjoyed making art and loved music in general; curious and interested in a lot of things. Nice, self-effacing, slightly on the quiet side. Worked bussing tables at a nice restaurant in summer. All in all, a seemingly down-to-earth kid at the top of the heap in life with a bright future ahead, most likely.

That young man used to ask tell that young woman to
- text him after x hours to make him stop playing video games so he'd do his homework, and would complain/get mad at her if she didn't
- insist she FaceTime him while doing homework so he'd stay focused (nevermind impact on her)
- got legit angry at her for not making him study more/get his homework done, after he took an incomplete in a class because he fucked around instead of taking care of business and his parents were furious with him. Again, she did not even go to the same school.

Worse, his parents also chastized the girl. The mother urged her to send him reminders and encourage and insist, and the father actually raged/yelled at her - this 20 yo young woman, in his home for dinner - not merely for being a distraction, but literally for not affirmatively forcing his son to do what all the years of prep school, high intellect, and overbearing parenting could not, which was to take the fuck care of himself.

I could not believe what I was hearing with this story. All of them concentrated on coddling their young adult son and ripping apart this poor girl who wandered in thinking she'd met a nice boy only to find out they all thought her role was caretaker and whipping girl.

Araki uses alot of old fashion magazines for his poses and design references, I think that's where alot of people get those vibes from.

You should enjoy Chris Avellone's "romances" then.
