Mammograms aren’t horrible. I mean, you get manhandled (by a lady, usually) and squished, but the discomfort is overplayed. Which is important because it dissuades people from going. Shouldn’t but it does. After my first mammogram I literally asked, “that’s it”? Waiting around time aside, it’s 5 minutes of standing awkwardly and a minor ick.

But I swear to god (& I think the mammo comment was in response to a prostate exam comment), if I hear another man whining about “boo hoo prostate exam, you can’t know what it’s like.” Stupid children: women get rectal exams at annual gyn exams. Plus, prostate exams start at 50 for a typical man without heightened risks/indicators, so most of the men here wouldn’t even have had one yet to complain about.

I don’t get your issue. Just being female can be justification for banning there, as being male can be here. I got banned there, as did many others. (In my case I was originally banned for a week for a comment in response to a certain female poster that wasn’t ackshually a criticism, but she and several of the more active commenters in that thread either deliberately or stupidly misconstrued it and made it a fight; (iirc) when I got kicked permanently I wasn’t even arguing, but that’s not a requirement.)

I was thinking on that just after I'd replied to you earlier. If they want/need that thread to have similar rules to this one (ie; only porn addicts/recovered porn addicts allowed to post, no defending porn allowed) in a judgement free support environment, they should have it. Without any of those rules in place(?), it was my intention to point at one of the crabs trying to drag them back down into the bucket as a bad example and explain harshly from the point of view of someone on the other side of the coin that the current reality of the matter is that their participation in the vicious cycle can only be resolved by their own choices. Escape the self made cycle or we will avoid and escape you, basically. They don't seem to care about the suffering of the victims they get off to or what it does to their minds, so the motivation left to remind them of is that they'll never get into/maintain a worthwhile relationship if the don't see cooming for what it is and stop.

I also forgot to voice my disagreement with your opinion that that thread isn't anti-porn. The topic is that it's a harmful thing to have in one's life and that they need to excise it; a very anti-porn sentiment. A small detail, but it started nagging me just now and I'd prefer to be as honest as possible.

I don’t get why anyone would seriously use Kiwifarms for group therapy. This place isn’t exactly meant for that. Would be a lot more worth it to go to an actual support group or seek a therapist. Also, it’s a bad idea to powerlevel about what you struggle with here because people can and will use it against you.
