So a movie came out in my country titled "Animal", and it's some of the most vile stuff that's come out of the movie industry here - it's aimless, it's crazy violent, it glorifies, like the title said, being an animal and having zero temper - it's peak show of "masculinity" like a porno without a story, and one of the bigger complaints people have of that film is the way women are postured so submissively. For instance, there's a scene where the guy is getting wedded and has a messenger bring some message that angers him greatly - he kills the messenger with zero mercy in front of the whole crowd, and pulls a gun on his fiancée, for no reason at all. The crowd is just staring, mouth agape.
I get that fiction is fiction, fiction is entertainment, but the fact that this film has rabid whiteknights adoring this macho hero figure and getting off on the violence he's someone justified in inflicting is telling. Men who like movies like this and take Patrick Bateman as an idol are all cut from the same cloth. They get their jollies from watching this stuff only because they can't do it themselves.
Here's the best take I could find about the film - has English subtitles but does have some statements that would make Westerners roll their eyes, but really the best I could do.
There's also a TV show about the mythological figure Ashoka, and that has to be prime slop material. I sat and watched one episode, in which he subjugates his wife (who he was made to be wed to by his mother for diplomacy reasons), sets up fake people heads outside their camp tent to make her think everyone saw them having sex to cage her for the sake of reputation ("can't leave when people think we had sex!"), has a literal "pick me" infatuated and crazed about him, and have the heroine meet with the sister of the guy who was also close to being raped and has nightmares about it.
