If my memory doesn't fail me I never had the help of random men in altercations. Even with male "friends" when an altercation or incident happened it was me that had to step up.
Strangers don't want to get involved and "friends" are too cowardly to help us, it's a sad realization.

I would characterize my relationship as very happy. My partner is attractive, sweet, respectful, honest, funny, and we have great sex.
We're not married and we don't live together, and neither of those things is going to change anytime soon. Maybe ever. Every cohabitating relationship I've ever been in, including my marriage, ended poorly. I take full responsibility for the ways I contributed to these failures.

girl same holy fuck. and honestly none of us do. Those of us who live in The West have more opportunity than ever to carve out a life without a male partner. I would love to see women networking with and supporting each other through life, it's clearly a better path than hitching yourself to a currentyear pornsick man who will be inclined to abandon you anyway at some point down the line. My manager at my job said an older black moid came in and asked for help with his phone. He has this thing where he pretends he's illiterate, when he's clearly not. She obliged him, just being nice, and said he had straight up porn on his phone. She swore to never help him again, and advises us to not help any of these people with their phones either.

I have a skewed perspective on the thought of any man stepping into a threat against you as Ive lived with domestic abuse. I would say most people will not step into a fight or altercation between a man and woman unless its completely egregious and even then, they may not. It's actually extremely important to avoid cementing a relationship with any man who has red flags for abuse because it's unlikely many people will help you. I've seen family and friends turn on victims, people you'd think had the empathy or care. So I would never count on a man to stick up for me, he's more likely to be the aggressor towards me.

Sure, calling the cops is basically the same as doing nothing in many domestics.
Probably why no men step into altercations since its never anyone's responsibility to do so. I've seen women hit on the street and I've experienced it myself. By the time the cops show up, they're already back home behind closed doors doing the same thing.
Like I said, it's very very important to never get into a serious relationship with a man who shows red flags of abuse.
