I also find it amusing how a man's reason for divorcing vs. a woman's reason for it is day and night different. Men divorced women if they were disabled, sick, infertile or didn't produce him the male heirs he wanted, meanwhile women divorced their husbands because they didn't wanted to be abused/killed or their husbands treated them as objects instead of humans, which is still a reason women get divorced from their husbands even in modern times. The reason why men are so butthurt about divorce while clucking about "divorce rape" and obsessing about the idea of no-fault divorces being abolished is because for the first time in recent history men are being treated the same way as divorced women were (and still are) treated, where some people view them as modern day lepers who socially are fucked beyond salvation while wondering where did they go wrong, how did they fail their spouse and chastising them for their failures for not performing to their spousal duties.
Men absolutely hate this of course. In fact, I would argue that if the modern day divorce was still the same as it was centuries ago like in Egyptian society where the woman got to be screwed over most of the time, both financially and socially men would have no issues with divorce, but in the end you can summarize their mindset when it comes almost everything which is "Not giving a shit about something no matter how much it hurts and screws over others as long as it benefits them, until that something hurts or gets weaponized against them, and when it does that we have to change that to accommodate them."
It's really simple, men like these want children not because out of love but because they view children as an extension of themselves rather than their own individuals, but they also want a childless life, the ability to control and have the access to the woman that they've been with so they end up doing this. Ultimately these men are the ones who end up crying when the child they abandoned and pretended it never existed for 18 years doesn't want to do nothing with them or be associated with them in any form.

This is actually a way more common attitude of modern men than the "I want a SAHM tradwife" guys who are mostly just LARPers who couldn't afford one anyway. Most men except women to do BOTH, work a career and earn half the income and ALSO have children on top of it. And ofc also have sex like a pornstar and keep the house clean. Monogamy and marriage was always to men's sole benefit. It's unnatural and against male nature to expect them to be fathers and provide. The deal was women were slaves who expected nothing and had no choice, and that was the only reason men provided, and the bare minimum at that. I know this thread is generally anti-SAHM for sensible reasons (financial security and independence if your man loses his mind) but I would absolutely be one. I don't really trust daycares (large number of local abuse scandals) and I appreciated having my own mom stay at home.
But whenever I tell people that most guys look down on me for this, they think I'm making shit up, that no guy would care or judge because "Men don't care about women's earnings or career, that's masculine they just want you to be docile and feminine." Oh fuck yes they care.
