This is what bugs me about therapy/psychiatry based around trauma. Most of the time a woman presents to a doctor for a trauma based disorder, it was a man who caused it. Sexual assault, harassment, rape, domestic violence, child abuse, and stalking is rampant. I had a post a bit ago about how girls were more likely to be victims of family violence and/or annihilation. Women are rightfully terrified and they don't need to undergo a traumatic event to be when they know someone who has, or haven't had it happen to themselves yet because statistically it will. The solution is to take some meds and get over it because you can't allow a woman to rightfully be wary of men her entire life. Just chant "girl power!", 'reclaim' your experience, and numb the pain until you die pretending to be ignorant of the horror.
