Off-topic, I know, but this book is actual dog shit. I liked the title so I went in blind. His prose is uninspired and disappointing and I don't know why he's famous.

I tried to read it because the general consensus was the author was good, but I could not get into it. It was bad. I don't even remember a single character. I just remember the author rambling about random things. I was able to read a Dan Simmons book around the same time, and that brick of a book was 800 pages, so I know it wasn't me.

Remember how most of them didn't give a shit about AI being used to harm others until it was pointed out how AI can be weaponized to make false evidence of men committing things they didn't do and that case where that 14-year old boy killed himself after being told by some AI impersonating characters that him and a female character from GoT would be together in afterlife? Suddenly then they were all for the regulation and limiting the use of AI?
