As a fellow wahmen I dislike fujos for making it a standard for visual femporn to be strictly gay. The het one does exist but is still very small in comparison. Unfortunately, for many girls, the only way men can be sexualized is if they take a dick up the ass which is an extremely deadbrain, kind of misogynistic take in retrospect.

Most non-pooner fujoshi artists can be very talented, funny, cool people who pretty much love the male form and can draw men perfectly to an autistic degree. But to see all that talent, all that obviously heterosexual female-appealing art, wasted on gay sex is frustrating.

I'm friends with a couple of libfujos, and while I do pretend to enjoy their lgbtq+ yaoi shipping art in public, I cringe from sheer pity on the inside. Men can easily draw one million anime chicks getting on a guy's dick with lesbian stuff being a little sidedish, but for some reason the situation is completely reversed for women. If in the past female fanservice used to mean cheesy romance, cringy love triangles, or at least topless men, now it's all boy-on-boy shipbait. Not to say those things were better, but at least they included prominent female/male relationships. Now it's almost like there's barely any room for "female" in "female fanservice".

I think it's at least partially because female-appealing male-on-male stuff can still appeal to some homosexual men, while as female-appealing male-on-female art is almost never liked by any group of men (at most it's a few submissive twinks). And men are a much, much bigger consumer demographic for pornography than women, and are willing to spend a lot more than women are. Makes sense that the women who have the skill to make that stuff would rather target the demographics that'll make them more money. Because let's be frank, you'll never see women that aren't either fujos or trannies splurging money on pornographic commissions, doujins or comics.

I think it's that women have a lot more difficulty self-inserting compared to men. So when they see the fictional character they're attracted to getting fucked, instead of self-inserting as the person fucking them (like men would), they get jealous of the character fucking their fictional crush. I guess there's just less jealously when the person fucking them is a man instead of another woman, because it's not direct "competition" in their eyes.
Hence why you occasionally see massive hatedoms emerge over specific female fictional characters that end up in heterosexual relationships with an extremely popular male character that women are crushing over. Sometimes it's because fujos got upset that she sunk their "pure perfect M/M ship", and sometimes it's regular women getting upset that she'd get in the way of themselves sleeping with him.

This whole thing regarding self-inserting would also kinda explain why women get far more upset over "unrealistic" representations of women in fiction than men do about male representation, but that's not really relevant to the topic of the thread.

Yeah, it makes sense that the actual success of this totally female-centric genre is due to male coomers being a major target audience as well. I always chuckle at fujos who state with a straight face that yaoi is super feminist and the most pro-woman thing™ ever.

I didn't have much trouble with the yuri and yaoi crowd before. Different stokes for different folks, ya know? If they're paying and being active about their interest, then so be it. What's really alarming is how heterosexual people have grown fixed on the gay after a few decades. When asking the reason for such a trend, one can usually hear the "one chocolate bar, two chocolate bars" adage, but it doesn't even explain it one tenth as well.

The way I see it, fujoshi and himedanshi are people who have deep anxieties about heterosexual relationships and, in particular, how their gender is being treated by the opposite one. Gender stereotypes, uncomfortable implications, biological attributes of their sex, etc. So instead of either reflecting on these feelings in some way or fixing the society that inforces such ideas, they take an easy way out and remove what in their mind is "the cause of the problem" from the equation, namely, whoever is representing their sex. And, boom, suddenly we have two girls/guys who are equal and don't have all of the aforementioned worries. And they can both be interesting, colorful characters, which would be *obviously* impossible if they were opposite sexes because of X, Y, Z (usually social/gender reasons). In their eyes, it's not as reprehensible if a female pervert squeezes another girl's breasts, and it's not as intimidating when a guy impregnates another one.

Basically, these heterosexual people idealize homosexuality on a subconscious level, seeing it as a more safe and liberating option in terms of relationships between partners. An escapist fantasy in an already escapist fantasy that is romance. They're trying to escape gender stereotypes, not realizing that they're so deeply embedded in their heads that they don't even notice them. Man, it's a real mystery why many of them end up trooning out later in life, right?

Thus, in my humble opinion, yuri and yaoi's popularity tells of a huge hidden problem within our modern society... So dunking on both fujos and yuricucks, who blindly support it, is justified lmao.
