Official Kiwifarms Fujoshi Hate Thread - where women can’t stop talking about gay male sex

What i find really annoying about fujoshis among other things is their blatant hipocrisy. These are women who have mastered the arts of progressive-no-jutsu . They will use their same queer HR therapy newspeak to cancel anything that they don't like at the same time as justify masturbating to rape, torture, incest and pedophilia.

Fanfiction spaces are a factory of degenerate pooners with violent fantasies, still no one has put two and two together, they fly completely off the radar.

Nah, I've been around the internet too long and this shit is all 100% home grown girl crazy. Fandom shit where there is an emphasis on shipping is rarely ever touched by the bepenised.
Yeah there are troons writing erotica and publishing it on Kindle for money, but fanfiction is a lil bit of a different beast.

I don't understand developing some kind of parasocial relationship with fictional characters and then making them fuck. Or shit even non-fictional characters (I was friends with a girl in school who took the Brady/Manning rivalry in an interesting direction...)

I assume it's just the author trying to work some shit out, but I dunno.

I think the motivation behind genderbent yaoi is the desire for more lesbian fictional romance, but since the writer can't see women as fully realized people, she needs to imagine men as lesbians to have an interesting story.
I disagree with this specific point. She can imagine women as fully realized people, she lives in a world where other people can't.

Fujos' (including these maybe-lesbians') main excuse is that there was very little content with women in it. The Five-Man Band has The Chick. The Chick has two problems: one, whereas the male characters have interesting defining traits, her defining trait is her pussy; and two, there's no second Chick. Male is the default, especially if you get into "genre" stuff. (And female original characters are a no-no; the blame if not for the birth then for the rise of fujoshit lies with the sexist cockwhores who bashed Mary Sue.) Women will watch shows with males, men will not watch shows with women (especially those that appeal to lesbians).

Fans don't choose fandoms, they just happen to end up somewhere. (Consider the Farms: outside of A&N regulars, this is not a gathering of edgy outcasts, normal users just happened to end up here. I had lurked for years for Chris updates, whom I'd learned about via ED, which I'd discovered when someone on a webcomic forum had referenced "becoming an hero", in 2007.) Network effects ensure that niche media remain niche and can't form a community. Off the top of my head, I can't name a single fandom centered on women that wasn't (male) goonerbait or pedo goonerbait. (inb4 "what about $thing?" : never heard of it!) Now, I'm old and not in a rush to belong to a fandom, but I remember myself as a teenager when I was desperate to find a band to be a fan of, because everyone had one. Sex-swappers aren't sexist, they're incurious and live in a penis-centered world. They ended up in a penis fandom but want to see more women, and sex swap is the acceptable way to have women. I'd say swapping male to female (normal female, not a pooner) is healthier media consumption than fujoshit or uncritical penis.

I think the main point of your post about culture being phallocentric is valid, but I was responding to this:
Come to that, I wonder who makes all the "Sapphics AU" or genderswap, where male characters are turned into women and have a lesbian romance. I find it kinda insulting in case of media that have actual interesting but overlooked female characters.
...which assumes the media in question does have interesting female characters. I won't give specific examples since you said you've never heard of them, but in my experience, a lot of media I grew up with did have great female characters that I liked and admired. I wanted to cosplay as them (my parents wouldn't allow it, so thank God for no embarrassing pictures), buy merch of them, and discuss them online with other fans. Unfortunately, that discussion just wasn't there, and what was in its place was slash fic and rule 34 that I had no interest in. I ended up not really participating much in fandom because of that, which was probably to my benefit.

They're NLOGs. But they're also boy crazy. That's why they hyper focus on male characters. It really isn't any deeper than that. And there isn't really a shortage of media with decent female characters, they just don't want them. Even in fandoms with a bunch of female character or at least a female lead they'll completely ignore all that and goo goo ga ga over background characters that barely made it to being named in canon. They also will go from fandom to fandom like locusts, not actually really caring about the source material, to "ship" the male characters. It's called something like "any two guys" types. A lot of video game fandoms posted on Ao3 have many of the people posting admitting they don't even play the games...

So the idea they "resort" to teh yaoiz because of lack of (good) female characters and plot lines is bullshit. And it's also feeding into their own made up excuses. It's not that the female characters in a lot of fandoms have a shit ton wrong with them inherently, they perceive them that way because they just don't like other girls at all, even when she exists entirely in fiction/fantasy and you can make her out to be whatever you want.

ETA: This also isn't even getting to the fact that you don't really need romantic pairings in a lot of stories. And that there is no "need" for shipping fandom. It's just something some people do for fun and that a lot of them get weird and obsessive about.

Lol this reminded me of Attack on Titan anime fans. AoT had an unusual number of well-developed female characters (including a tragic lesbian character), but the fangirls were all obsessed with Marco "Literally Who" Bott, specifically shipping him with Jean. When he very predictably died in only the second story arc, they were all screaming crying throwing up over a character who has like two speaking lines.

It has gotten to the point where a lot of Asian media shoves fujoshi bait in there to drive engagement.

Cdrama tiktok is pretty wild. You'll have like Imperial Court dramas with a quadrillion things going on and the fandom is basically a bunch of women shoving Ken dolls into each other while yelling NOW KISS

Three things:
  1. The fabled yaoi hole, neither anus nor vagina
  2. 99.999% of yaoi/bishi/bl/whatever new name they're calling it this week starts with rape, often of an underage boy
  3. Someone please post the manga panel where fujos are strapped into cinema seats and made to watch what homosex is really like

Ironically fujoshis kept me out of certain fandoms at a crucial age because I didn't "get" it and decided online fandom was not for me. All's well that ends well.

Too late. Yaoi with aged and less sightly men is already a thing and it's called "Old man yaoi" (they may not be necessarily old, but perception of age is relative).
It's kinda popular these days.

but I was responding to this:

Oh, sorry. No objections then.

I won't give specific examples since you said you've never heard of them, but in my experience, a lot of media I grew up with did have great female characters that I liked and admired.
I actually do want examples, for personal reasons. Soviet media has never managed to develop fandoms, and I don't believe it's possible to raise children on Spess Train Three Nines and Secret Valley analog tv rips without fandom fodder media in Current Year, they're going to fall in with something and sperg about it. I was lucky to have been a fan of (A)D&D and videogames as a kid, they didn't have sex when I was growing up (inb4 slovenly trull), which got my hopes up. "Nerd paradise! The future is awesome! Great American games will defeat Russian capitalist porn slop!" Of course IRL at the time, pornified Vampire: the Masquerade was wiping the floor with chaste and mismanaged AD&D. Now "the" D&D game is Baldur's Gate 3, and even kiddie shooter games have characters with specified sexual orientations.

They self-insert into the "uke" and basically write "him" as the overly stereotypical ideal girl because for some reason they can't do that with M/F ships because their weird brand of self-hate and NLOGery is just that strong.
I hate this!
I've seen explanations of the fujo phenomenon and even some examples in favor of said explanation that I more or less buy:
  • "awesome" (Japanese "boys" demographic) content with male characters
  • marketing said content to "young adults" with disposable incomes
    • real life is fake and gay, more incentive to stick to children's content
    • real life is expensive, more incentive to stick to content than to touch grass
      • can't be a protagonist of your own life, stick to fiction
  • internalized sexism and fandom infighting
  • an idealized relationship between equals, untarnished by modern sexist background radiation
  • star-crossed lovers + fag rights propaganda
    • these days in the media, there are few obstacles to a male and a female marrying if they happen to fall in love
I absolutely see how this gives rise to the fujo fandom and its particularly nasty excesses (reeee "normative heterosexuality" getting in the way of true wuv). I'm almost prepared to see them as victims of a corrupt media landscape.

And then they do this yaoi hole shit. No no no no, they can't have it both ways. They can't go "these men are equals, they're soulmates, they're exploring their feelings, how byuoooootiful" but then turn around and say "but this one is `submissive` and was destined to have his rectum drilled".

I don't understand developing some kind of parasocial relationship with fictional characters and then making them fuck.
^ partially explained above, and: prestige "adult" fiction is also mostly about making the characters fuck. When the serious adult world tells teenagers "stop playing with robots, get your bits out and fap to middle managers having midlife crises", "ok, I'll fap to robots" is a valid response.

Fandoms in general have this issue of 'no one can be friends they all have to fuck' like there could be 2 male characters who are obviously just friends? They get shipped. 2 female characters who are obviously just friends? They get shipped. Rivals? Shipped. Arch enemies? Shipped. And the same for every other possible combination in existence. I think its because alot of them are so lonely/have an autism higher than my own that they cant tell the difference between friendship love and actual love or just lack love in their own life. But its REALLY annoying when you go online and everyone is constantly just talking about characters fucking. This is why im never active really in fandoms, like, yeah i will be obsessed with something but i will still refuse to ever be active in the fandom because the community is always just gooners and weird ass people. But they are ESPECIALLY weird about it when its two guy characters.

If you see a he/him user with this type of Pfp, I can guarantee there is a 90% chance they’re a pooper or 10% chance they are a pedophile…
