I will share a story of my last interaction with an insane woman and you decide if this is a "women moment" or something that could happen with a man too. Regardless, it is pretty funny.

I was out looking for a project car to have something to do on weekends. Through relatives, I get this contact of a woman who is selling her used 1990 Mercedes 190E. I was told that she doesn't know what price she wants to sell it for and that maybe I could haggle down to something good. Very good condition/completely restored cars can go for up to 5000 euros, but normally you'll find them rusted out at about 800-1500 euro.

So, we arrange a meet at a parking lot and she starts talking about how great this car is, and me, thinking she needs to complete her pre-thought up speech, allowed her to continue. She mentions that she only gets the car fixed once something wrong happens but then immediately pivots into a rant on how mechanics ruined that car (without any specific example apart from the door linings being left popped out around the windows) And she just starts to talk in circles between those two topics. Up to this point, I wasn't allowed to tell her a thing edgewise. When we opened the boot and it had a box with some empty bottles in it, she immediately started making excuses of how she doesn't drink and the bottles were someone else's.

The car itself? It was very clean and possibly polished. The interior was in a good condition and very clean also. But that's the only good things I can tell about the car. The front fenders were rusted out. Left one was also well smashed in and the right one, although claimed to be replaced was almost as bad as the left one in terms of rust. The sills were covered in plastic and I couldn't assess the situation there, but there was filth under them and they probably weren't any good either. Rear quarter panels were also starting to corrode. So did the hood and the trunk. Back area around the tail lights too. The engine probably hasn't been cleaned in a decade. The bottom seemed to be in a reasonably good condition and she said it had some sort of a rare special coating. I asked if it was original. She said it was there when she got the car, completely missing the point of my question. On the short test drive there was an odd wooshing noise and also the automatic gearbox had loud crackling noises time to time.

All in all, despite the very surface level cleanliness, the car was effectively a polished turd and the standard restoration procedure was in order. The clean interior and polished bodywork didn't mean jack shit when I would need to tear it all down and repair the underlying issues anyway. I gave her an offer of 1000 euros expecting that maybe she'll haggle and I can get a price in the 1400-1500 range. She instead launched into a fit, that she's about to list it for 5000 euros, that she will sell it for 3500 (lmao good luck) and if she doesn't sell it by the new year she will get rid of it ASAP, presumably for the 2000 euro figure she gave some time ago. At this point, my patience ran out and I decided to excuse myself because you can't reason with this type of person.
