Man Goon still has the old ban page for when you could lack at shitstirrers called pubbie tears.
I still remember when baystation banned someone for drama whoring (I has asbergers/awtisms) "We're not a mental health service".

I've been paying attention to heretics and the direction they're going and yea... Heretics are just a bad antagonist now.

Their powers are useless, hard to progress, people meta the shit out of it, and the new branches just powercreep the old ones.

The old ones were perfect. Fire for stealth, flesh for loud, rust for buffs. Void is just "fire, but powers are broken", and blade is just... Yea.

Yeah overall heretic is much worse now, especially by becoming a non lethal antag. Although it does give psychologist something to do other than read the super matter a bedtime story, the other day I deputized one and told him to help me “taze the crazy out” of a guy who was both abducted and sacrificed.

It's like the developer constantly ignores the main idea of the antag, and only adds in new features that sound cool.

That's engineering's job, fuck you! True engineers are ghosts that rarely are seen in the eyes of anyone not a cyborg.
I don't know how true this is, but I was always told that on the ERP servers where rape was a-ok (without player consent) that engineers/assistants were the poor schmucks.

I'm too retarded for SM engine and only ever learned how to set up Singulo and Tesla, but I can confirm that, once I'm done maint crawling all throughout the station and getting solars set up, you're not fucking seeing me unless something breaks and someone bitches enough that it should be fixed.

SM isn't hard, RUST gives me nightmares because of shitcode. I used to build ICE loops for fun but I got tired of atmos wrenching.

It's probably not hard and I understand it's basically Atmos-related fuckery. The problem is, I'm a lazy bitch with wanting to learn the setup.

Unless there's a more competent (or less competent but more confident) Engineer than myself aboard, you're all going corporate-approved green.

Or just don't play on Bee. Bee's turned to shit for a while now.
Yea I used to play on bee and things were a lot different. It changed so fast.

At one point they would have these drown out 0 tension rounds with no antags. People would get bored and do stupid shit. It became a meme "can't have a greenshift without multiple bans handed out". Admins loved banning people and spreading dread.

BeeStation admins have a habit of noting you for everything you do (sometimes making bullshit/embellished notes which need to be disputed in a lengthy forum discussion/lecture) which builds up to harsher punishments.
I also like how he was essentially perma-banned from other non-combative department head roles.
SS13 is on par with GMOD-RP now. Don't feel bad for ban evading and CID spoofing to play out an honest spess men round.

I'm surprised.

Bee had a bias for security at one point. Admins were so hardass that seccies knew people who were even a little bit disruptive were valid (antags) and would strip-search them. Lol people were afraid of being even a little bit disruptive cause admins would intervene and serve bans.

A morph dropping one liners, a captain leading the charge in a fight for the station, traitor who doesn’t twiddle their thumbs all game and actually takes the shot.

This is a list of exemplary behavior
Spacestation is a serious game for serious people! No room for memes here! Just do what is minimum required of your assigned job for 2 hours and give the paypigs some room to have fun!

Damnit I miss this server. Was too nervous to make an account on the farms proper at the time, but I enjoyed playing around on the server. After Hippy ate shit and died, it felt like the last refuge of LRP, classic SS13, rather than Furry Roleplay, or just feeling like actually working a job instead of playing a game.

As for the crap from Bee up there, I get that Validhunting can be annoying, but that's a step infinitely too far in the wrong direction. For fuck's sake, "The traitor killed their target too fast then killed the captain, that's not fair!"

Absolute crybaby behavior.

This may sound crazy but despite how shitty the moderation has become Goonstation is closer to what I want from an lrp experience than tg. The last time I played tg they made changes to R&D that made it more tedious and added an impurity mechanic to chemistry, I've also heard something about security not being able to use stun batons if the station isn't on red alert. I'd (kind of) understand it for the rp servers but this is applied to the lrp servers too. I know you can't just say fuck it and throw balance out the window all together but shit like chemists being able to pump out meth and research making portal guns and fully armed combat mechs halfway through the round was part of the charm. I guess this explains my abusive love-hate relationship with goon.

Bee tried to do something like this with tasers, so they'd shoot red hurt lasers on red alert.

Except a shitcoder made them shoot the wrong type of laser, so they were shooting plasma tier lasers for 3 months.

That would actually be a neat idea if it was executed correctly. On TG you only needed security access to open the laser crates rather than armory access, so it would make sense to save the hassle of ordering it during an emergency. The stun batons being disabled is stupid, pepper spray is useless against any assistant wearing a gasmask, flashes only work from the front or side and should be saved for borgs, and in a panic, you can easily forget to set your intent to harm and end up slapping someone with a disabler instead of shooting point blank.

The only reason I still tolerate Goon is that you don't have to go through unnecessary hassle to play with things your role should have access to, and that fact that it has the wraith which is my favorite antag role in SS13. Goon may be cucked to the point of not letting you say bitch or cunt but whenever I came back from taking a break there's stuff that's been updated or added while whenever I return to TG they either nerfed something to hell or removed it entirely because they're too lazy to fix it. The only time I remember Goon doing the ladder was the recent cloning nerf which I pray gets refined, and suspending pathology, which in my opinion isn't much of a loss cause the last I remember pathology on Goon was a nightmare and literal blight that caused countless early shuttle calls because everyone was farting plasma storms then spontaneously combusting in the middle of the plasma storm.

'Allegedly inebriated.'

I literally was not, nor did I say I was lol. The cause of each was, I was security and niggers were rioting outside the doors. The second was the changeling had me dead to rights and was choking me out, and the third was Schlomo Shekelstein, the Captain, demanded my paycheck. So hardly 'Without cause'. TG is anti fun. Sad.
