Felinids are not enabled for user selection. Greys are antags and that would cause confusion.

Considering adding an option to spawn as a prisoner and just having every prisoner be a felinid, so it's immediately obvious if you see a cat girl that they're a prison escapee. Gives ghosts something to do. My concern is how this would work IC, where they would spawn, when, and if they'd just consider themselves antags who need to break out.
I don't know if this has been disabled or not, but /tg/ used to have a prisoner role that spawned in permabrig. You could have them spawn there (where there's the ghetto botany setup) or on the mining colony where they can do mining. That being said, it would probably turn into a prison escape simulator no matter what the role was originally for.

Because you'd be years late to the party if you only started talking about SS13 drama now. The fact alone that you didn't even bring up CM or SCP13 (among others) when talking about lolworthy drama kind of attests to this.

If you want to track and laugh at dumb SS13 drama, just watch the reddit once a month or once every few months and I guarantee you'll see some new shitshow about a server taking the community by storm.
I've seen a lot of tgstation drama and it tends to be insanely petty and gay, so I'm not surprised there aren't any huge writeups. It's all about discord cliques and favoritism towards shitty mod candidates. Very unfun.

If not for the obvious desire to keep my KF and normal internet personalities separate, and the fact that it would get you banned instantly just for the character names, I’d love to stream Kiwistation on Twitch just because of some of the insanity I’ve already seen in this game.
The insanity is a big part of SS13, unless it's a high rp server or furry server you'll see some batshit stuff.
Streaming though- that's kind of a no go for a lot of server unless you have really high delay. I think the only server I've seen being streamed on twitch is Fulp

With a lot of help from fellow spergs and autists, I'm starting to grasp supermatter power generation.

I've got a few questions though:
Where/how do you get an upgraded laser for the freezers?

If you were to run a chilled o2 injection loop would you make a separate circuit for it or just tie it into the n2 loop? If the latter, how would you set up the filters?

Boat Bomber occasionally streams multiple different servers (at least the ones he doesn't have a ban on by this point), generally because he just doesn't give a fuck.

Reminder/disclaimer that I am retarded and I do not know atmos in actual practice, but as long super-chilled O2 won't result in bad shit happening when mixed with N2, it should be fine? And generally you should just set filters to filter out all the bad gases that would cause problems with the distro.

Fuck, man. Go ahead and risk blowing up Engineering a few more times, see what you learn from it. If you get BWOINKED, tell the shitmins the truth about you learning and practicing. Causing round-ending catastrophic disaster is just part of the learning experience.

Would be interesting to link the RD stuff partially to that SM powered drill idea by them making upgrades for it or cooling cells

For this i would recommend a sort of arrivals shuttle or pod, docked outside of permabrig. And spawn them in knocked down via stun. It would deliver them via conveyor belt and and the thing cargo shuttle conveyor belts have that you can only go through while laying down.
I really like this idea quite a bit.

Bounties was base /tg/ but they removed it in favor of cargo bounties that no one ever does and which are pointless. On Fulp you just get tasked to get briefcases as Detective so I run around knocking over lawyers taking their fucking briefcases. I'll look at it, right now I'm working on my Modest R&D Reform.
I do cargo bounties all the time. Its a great way to make credits to buy more stuff for cargonia
unironically agree with force greysuiting assistants
Yeah please do. and can we make it so assistants arent human by asimov too

I like the idea that one of the first things you'd learn on this server as an assistant is to take your jumpsuit off and find new clothes fast or you're going to be cyber bullied

Is there any reason the client keeps crashing? Like several times per game. Never happened before on any other server. Has there been an update I missed, or something?

For those that might get burnt out of TGcodebase and end up liking the game, you can always try out other servers THAT AREN'T FURFAG INFESTED like:

CEV Eris: It doesn't deviate that much from the original SS13 formula, the main difference is that takes in a ship that has been refitted god-knows and changed hands for god-knowns how long. Maintenance is infested with oversized cockroaches and spider that will try to kill you, there's a fuckload of junk store in the maint tunnels from ages ago that stoaway vagabonds often dig through to find shit to sell or arm themselves with. There are antags like in regular ss13 and instead of being four departments working under the same NT banner, it's 5 different faction co-existing in the same ship that might or might not end up on they fucking up/killing each other off. They have their own discord server and are only up during weekends. It might contain a lot of jank-code.

NSV 13: Same SS13 formula, based off an old FTL13 codebase that was based off TGcode. Takes place on a ship that is tasked with a mission each round, this is granted because there are actual solar system maps and real time ship fights that might happen between NT fleets and Syndicate fleets. I don't really play it that much but it's neat and worth trying out. Like everything in BYOND, you might find jank but to a lesser extent

Interstation 12 - Warfare: Completly different to the normal SS13 experience, focused around TDM. There are two sides which are red and blue, based around a gritty and grimdark setting in planet somewhere in the future on an unknown entrenched battlefield . Inherits a lot of the neat stuff Interstation had like a completly different if not better combat system and a more complex/harder medical compared to TGcodebase servers. Visually it's inspired by the "Gone with a blastwave" e-comics but it has nothing to do with that universe. In short, WW1 trench warfare between red and blue in the grim darkness of the future. The server is mostly on during Mondays and Wednesdays and the playtests last around 2 to 3 hours, they have their own discord and shit.

/vg/station: 4chan's /vg/ server, based off an old version of Baystation and looks the most outdate compared to the servers but IMO retains the core and spirit of SS13 gameplay. Nigger word friendly, the admins are mostly cool but will ban your ass if you tip toe too much with shit like self-antaging and repeatly releasing the singularity as antag because that shit gets old fast. Has dedicated coders that iron out neat features from time to time, has the best cult gamemode compared to the TG one IMO. Allows different races but doesn't go into furfag territory: ERP is banneable and catbeast are valid to toolbox on sight. It's off the hub to keep newfags and furries away so you will have to go to the /vg/ thread or go to ss13.moe to get the IP.

Lesser or not lesser at all servers that deviate from the classic SS13 experience:

Colonial Marines and the other 2 or 3 offshoots: Played it a lot, but I would say it's a meh experience and it might get repetitive a lot. The main CM server may or may not have groomers as staff members. TDM Humans vs Xenos
Dead Space 13: Goes ON on the hub from every now and then, cool ideas but absolutely JANK codewise. Has coders like TheLion whose name is often tied to the SCP13 Drama shitfest, he might have changed since then. TDM Humans vs Necromorphs/Signals
Civ13: Neat ideas and the server staff is nigger word friendly, but it might come off as barren and it barely has players. Comes in Survival or TDM flavor.
Persistent Station: Played it once, has neat premise. Basically build a station from the ground up, people will try to expand the station as the round is basically never ending and server wipes after some months. Heard that the main host is a male feminist and I haven't played in a while. Still, cool concept.
Lifeweb: Hahaha, no. You will hear a lot of bad shit about this (mostly from reddit, but they are fags) but the server itself is pretty neat, unique lore, self-moderating community, no spoonfed allowed if not circlejerk-y at times. Forget it if you just got into the game, it will be hard to get in and the fact that it's a sekrit club you need an invite from the staff OR a high ranking player to get in the first place, plus a LOT of donations rewards that seem P2W to make you better in-game. All goes to feed the krokodil addiction of the russian dude who made it and hosts it. Pretty neat, overall.
Interpost - Hague (AKA Lifeweb clone): SS13, but with grimdark tint and Interstation combat and medical system. Mostly played by people that play, got banned from or aren't invited to the Lifeweb server. Nigger word friendly and for the most part pretty LRP.

Footnote: ERP is banneable in all of these servers, excluding Lifeweb and Interpost.

Most rounds look like this, maybe I should learn security to help the station.

Only thing I can suggest is to add a blowback to shotguns similar to how baseball bats can knock people back when you hit them. I often have to lock away my shotgun while playing bartender because someone sees it and tries to hop over the table to steal it, and firing two beanbag shots into their chest just doesn't stop them.

CWC the Kiwi as pet simple mob in Captain’s Office or Bar.

Also for catbeasts, just have /vg/‘s escaped catbeast random event. Catbeast runs around spreading disease, and crew tries to stop them.

Can confirm lifeweb is fun as fuck, although the community is full of assholes and you have a high chance of getting banned for anything. Just got a new PC and gunna try to get an invite again.

Are wraiths still super fun to play if you get an anchor?
