You could double research speed until the amount of points created by the doubling effect is equal to some constant. So you still get those 50000 research points. It's still technically point based, I could have a way to boost nodes with points while in queue.
Yeah I mean I don't disagree. Personally can't get the hang of it, but I get what you mean. It seems like a lot of Science is that way. Most useful seems to be roboticists and ironically R&D. Everything else just takes more effort and requires more knowledge, for as you said gimmicky benefits. But doesn't mean you shouldn't consider how it will interact with new systems. In fairness; who actually still does toxins? I do it once every now and again to make sure I can still actually make boombooms. But mostly I just see people gas themselves by mistake, or use it to be a potraitor. Toxins could be like nanites; just as a producer of gimmicky stuff.
Unfortunately I experience it in other byond games so it might not be solvable through coding on our side. But if it is, I'd be glad to be proven wrong. So is there no way to fix the stuck in a direction movement bug thing? I've played other BYOND games in the past and they didn't have the same issue so I assume it isn't just a thing BYOND is stuck with. I only ask because the vast majority of my deaths have come from it. When you're walking around lava, goliaths, and chasms and you get the bug it is pretty much guaranteed death and it's pretty unfun to die to something you had no control over.
So that was you. You fucked up Reimi really bad, man. I couldn't save her and when we realized she had radiation it was too late, everybody in medbay was sick as fuck already.>Fiddling with explosives because there was a cult brewing and I needed an excuse
>Try to heat gas by pumping O2 and plasma into toxin chamber
>mix up in/out pumps and dont realize it
>Try to figure out what I did wrong. Realize I forgot to open valve on tank. (big no)
>Room now filled with plasma gas and I left the pump on and empty
>Make it out as explosive goes off, think i got off fine
>Someone runs at me asking me what the fuck i did
>Stammer "Cultists" and inexplicably start losing limbs
>They carry me and collapse in medbay
>Doc ties me to stasis and collapses too, getting off one "oh fuck" before going down too
What the FUCK was this and how can I weaponize it. For peaceful means of course.
I want to try medbay but it's a job where people actually depend on you and i'm retarded and antisocial.I've tried some other jobs unsuccessfully, like security, clown and robotics, only to go back to medic because it's way too enjoyable for me. I want to expand my skills, damn it, are there any positions you recommend?
Seems like a combination of plasma and divine punishment from the admins.>Fiddling with explosives because there was a cult brewing and I needed an excuse

You'll never learn if you don't jump in. Try it out and you'll probably like it! Just remember: when in doubt, you can rely on the patches from the medkits to keep you going in a rush. When you have time, use the surgery guide from the tgstation wiki.I want to try medbay but it's a job where people actually depend on you and i'm retarded and antisocial.
I might start as a paramedic or maybe a medical borg. You'll never learn if you don't jump in. Try it out and you'll probably like it! Paramedics are generally in charge of wounded/body recovery, not actual healing.I might start as a paramedic or maybe a medical borg.
Exactly, no real responsibility. I can always just go "Hey doc take care of this"Paramedics are generally in charge of wounded/body recovery, not actual healing.
Yes. Get those fuckers outta here.Is there any point in reporting the retards who go on nontag murdering sprees every single fucking round during no-admin hours or can the admins not verify it happened when they show up?
They're making the game incredibly unfun.
Medical borg is not a great job to learn medicine, they lack a LOT of tools needed, they only have surgical tools and a hypospray with various drugs you'd need to 1 by one inspect.I might start as a paramedic or maybe a medical borg.
