There should be some tard-wrangling of offsite spergs IMO. When I play in US hours, there are a lot of banned people from other public servers bringing gay server wars and grudges into the OOC chat. I don't think they should be banned, but muting OOC when a fight breaks out would be wise.
 
I got banned today for a short while because someone else outed an antag in ooc, and all I said was "ick ock should be fine" and instead of banning the person who actually ick ocked, the admin banned me for expressing my opinion for saying that ick ock is fine. Obvs it was a joke on my part, and I shouldnt be punished for "revealing a antag in ooc" when I wasnt the one who even revealed them.

This is all.

lol the admin even said "take a break bud". who are these tg admins we have who call you buddy and pal in the bans?

pleasure consider the the fact that I did not actually break any of the rules, as I was not the one who outed the antag, but added commentary on the already outting of an antag. It is incorrect that "I do not show any respect or regard to following the rules", because not was I breaking these rules in the moment, I have not rules regarding outing antags in the past.

sure it will be hard, ss13 is my heroin, but this isnt about the time or getting appealed, but about how this a bullshit ban. This is the kinda ban id expect from tg or fulp, not this one.

its not about getting appealed, but more about calling out this bullshit, as if we just ignore these dumb ass bans, then go into a downwards spiral and become like tg or fulp. I'm not about to let myself by called cringe by a catgirl.

These people are fucking insufferable, every single round seems to end with ooc smugfagging over how robust they are and/or crying like little faggots about getting killed. /vg/ aren't sending their best.

I've noticed this too. Its frustrating to administer for. I'm trying not to over moderate but it might be time to start cracking heads.

Other than that I'm still having fun with this and I hope others are too.

When you start a new server for any game you get the handful of people who are permabanned on every other server who flock to yours because they think their reputation won't be known to the mods, or just because they have no other options.

There's going to be a teething phase where the worst shitters who just can't control themselves get weeded out and then it will be easier. It won't always be as hectic or as angry.

Partially agree. 8chan's Hatestation suffered much the same way, except that some of those shitters were smart enough to hold back their shittery just long enough to becomes admins and mods for their own server, then they pretty much allowed other shitters to run free and stirred drama until the server ended up dead in the water after a handful of months.

That's why I feel you have to be proactive in curtailing the shitters early on, because they can and will drag down the server to the point where it's out of the original owner's hands to properly deal with it if left unchecked. I think the same thing happened to Hippie Station as well, which is why Admiral Hippie got so fed up that he just handed ownership to someone else and fucked off, then spent most of his time shitting on his own, former server whenever he got the chance for how bad it became. Of course, there's something to be said there for the retard mismanaging it to where it got to that point, but still.
