I think robotics should be able to have a 'Build your own mech kit' which just contains one of each limb from random mechs or actually have way to get a bluespace core because 99% time toxins is either empty, exploded or the scientist working there has two and a half braincells.

I really appreciate the change to the emitter position in that one map. Having to move the reflectors around at round start was boring AF.

I played botany last night for the first time and fuck me I didn't realize what the plant bag did until round end. It was absolute pandemonium trying to pick up fruits and veggies individually, I ended up trying to cram them into crates and boxes.

I feel like I just can't be antag. I turned it on because the round before the past one things were pretty stale and the pop was really low. Reimi decided to put up some strict police laws and my blood brother and I just rolled with it. The thing is, we were both doctors, and I know this guy and he's a big softie too. At the end of the round I got to shoot two people for the hell of it, but it just didn't feel right. We even tried to give everyone a virus but I ended up curing them and checking for their wellbeing. I think I need to learn a new job if I ever want to antag, but right now seeing innocent people just wondering why they're getting shot/posioned/whatever doesn't do it for me.

Kiwi Delta is our only map since I'm working on it very hard. Every so often it may be worth loading up /tg/ Meta or Delta to see if they've added anything we should port over.
Small change, but could you add defib wall mounts to the map? Icebox and Meta have them, so it feels odd. I know you can print them, but at the start of the round I just like to be able to place my defibs in peace without a worry.

I'm not surprised a doctor main has issues being antag. I find the roles where you're in a specific area for a long time make it harder to antag, especially if the role is a generally helpful one. I turned off blood Brothers because honestly I'm not a good enough player to antag without extra tools.

Was screwing around in hydroponics, doing fairly standard stuff. Had bananas and watermelons going, the first in order to mutate into bluespace bananas and the second for biogenorator mass. For some reason, I wasn't paying attention and planted them next to each other.

Bananas have potassium, watermelons have water, and when they grow right next to each other crosspollination can give you a fruit with both. When I harvested the watermelons, chemistry happened and I found myself deep in crit and short two limbs.
Unrelated, but I know you're Bean Sprout because of the name. Is there a reason why people spam Bean Sprout as a meme now in OOC? By the way I remember that gorilla round were you got mauled, then attacked by xeno monsters and swarmers, bombed and somehow you managed to stay alive.

I'm really enjoying the server. I'm new to SS13 and it's impressive how different every round feels. There was one yesterday where nothing happened for like an hour. The next round, the SM delaminated. This made my character start addressing himself over the radio. When I went to the pharmacy to get that taken care of (thanks btw @Dyn), I got clown car'd. After my escape, I was exposed to a super virus that killed me on the evac shuttle. I will try to learn a job that's more useful than janny soon.

Killing half the station is never the point of being an antag and I never roll like that.

I'm not completely sure what's up with the spamming. I was a traitor one round and was pegging people with amanitin filled tomatoes, which caused some players to start complaining about me in OOC. Some dude was using my name as a taunt against them, but then he started hardcore spamming hundreds of times so I put him on ignore. If it becomes a problem for me I'll just start using the name/appearance randomizer.

I "survived" the gorilla/swarmer/etc round because as a podperson you heal in light. Also, your organs and blood and stuff might work differently, I don't really know. Anyway, I had been escaping by using bluespace tomatoes(or some plant with the same ability, can't remember), but eventually I got corned by the gorillas, who knocked my down and subsequently tore off my arms and legs and heavily wounded my body. Of course I was in crit, but my head was relatively undamaged and they left my mangled remains in the light.

Very slowly my body began to heal, until it was as good as new, minus limbs of course. Every once in a while something would come by to attack me, but as long as they didn't finish the job after pushing me into crit, I would always grow back. It would have been a lot cooler if i wasn't completely immobile. I guess the moral of the story is, if you want to kill a podperson, be sure and make sure to follow through.

I've gotten a lot more goodies in and are balancing them against cash so hopefully people get more fun stuff. Almost all jobs have some gifts now. Still completely open to new ideas / balancing suggestions and am going to work on getting real bounties back in soon.

I reckon your preferred antag method is to convince everyone else to blow up the station on your behalf.

- Complete objectives
- Release necrotic fasciitus virus
- Poison cryogenic tubes
- Set all chemstation heaters to explode
- "G..guys I'm new, how do I do this"
- Inject patients with heparin
- Don't cauterise after surgeries
- Give out lexorin and fentanyl as virus cures
- "Why isn't this working? I'm so sorry!"
- "Guys medbay is fucked the virologist sabotaged me can we please call the shuttle?"

I wanna get good enough to start doing some Machiavellian shit like that but I'm too embarrassed to try again after I nearly beat myself to death with a plant pot while trying to figure out how to put it down, lol.

How does it do in WINE?
It already runs like arse in Windows, it can't be much worse in WINE, lol.

I've been trying to enjoy playing the game but I've ran into problems with the menus and interacting with the game.

There are loads of times when I'll click on a menu item ("Setup Character", "View Roles", "Join Game" etc) and the menu doesn't come up. The only way to fix this is to reconnect which causes the window to appear.

Similar problem when I'm inside the Setup Charater menu the occupation configuration doesn't come up when I try to view it.

I'm using the most recent version of BYOND

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a community fix I'm not aware of? Is it just a known issue and I have to just deal with it?

Thanks.

If you're an MD Traitor you get access to brainwashing surgery, which is so much fun. You get to implant objectives in other people's heads.

A bunch of this stuff is really funny but also really easy.
Completing your objectives depends on your objectives (duh) but as far as I know you don't need to complete them unless you like green letters a lot.

when it comes down to it virology is extremely easy, it just doing basic addition and hoping you get lucky when your almost endless supplies of chemicals and you start with everything you need for a killing virus, you could even just squirt virus food into the starting disease bottle five times, wear internals, station has aids now which will take a long time to cure and is annoying as fuck,???,profit! (also will get you metagrudged)

IIRC stuff you put into cryogenic tubes that isn't meds can multiply by the tier of upgrades it has in its host, meaning that they are either using penetic acid which is hard to make or slowly dying to 600 units of ethanol, plus they have no way of resisting since they are asleep and will be asleep for a decent time once they are ejected, the only way someone stops you is if they randomly decide to check a random part of medical, care enough about the person inside the cyrotube which has no visual telling if there is toxins in the tube unless they click on the machine, decide they can stop you, manage to out robust you who has traitor gear alongside next to a person whos asleep with 600 units of acid inside of them.

What I assume hes referring to is putting a huge beaker of chemicals which do x when temperature reaches y. One time while I was a chemist someone asked for meth and I decided to heat it to 390k to get it done faster, just 100 units and the dude, the CMO and myself are now a pile of gibs, I could see setting it to something slow reacting like 384k and asking the cmo to come check out chemistry about a unknown chemical, oh no hes gibs now. too hard to save. would be a shame if you took his place.

saying something like " T anyone want to buy romerol" or "G what's a good setup for murderboning?" is funny as fuck but also really old, but it will give you a fun chase until they stun you to confirm if your actually a antag.

giving out bad chemicals as a cure is really funny too, you can always rename the chemicals and their dosage to completely false shit, and everybody doesn't like a random virus coofed onto them, especially since viros always almost roll funny man and do very funny things. they have no way to tell except for scanning themselves and you could easily blame the chemicals effects on the virus.

You can get some other ideas from livrah who breaks the game to its limit with xenobiology https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNeQ1bBa9kIczH5GECmdILg
